Leaving that as it is because I think I need to do all the verb practice again at some point. Short as that segment of Irish is.

Writing did not get done much of yesterday, due to wrist injury/pain, so today's statement of intent will be the same as yesterday's and we'll see if I get more of it done. I did commit some bloggery yesterday, because thankfully I've been thinking on that topic for about a week and had something drafted already, so required minimal use of hands. Mostly yesterday was curling up on the couch and watching Thundercats in the evenings.

A new pope was elected! With what feels like significantly less time arguing than the last one. May he lead wisely and well, and in good health. That's about as much as I can say other than "Huh" because I don't know too much about him, am in the process of studying, and I don't have a dog in this race, not being Catholic. As a world influence I have some interest in who is in such an influential position, but.

And the Veronica Mars thing happened. And I'm happy for them, I really am. I watched it count down to the goal within 12 hours with amazement. And I remembered the Jericho campaign to bring back the show and how the fans sent 20+ tons (literal, actual tons of weight of nuts) to the network offices to get them to bring it back. Fans count. Fans matter, and fans can get shit done. Random Acts proves that, too.

Anyway. Wrist doing better today, but let's not push it. Reminding myself that today's projects are: draft for LSQ, draft for Fireside, translating German for 30-40 and Russian for 30-40, and an hour or two of Person of Interest which, by that point, had probably be better done on the dictation. Let's take it easy for today.

Okay, so, the wrist is periodically giving off twinges of "Maybe you ought not to do so much knitting/typing," but it's not nearly as bad as it was yesterday, when I spent most of the day typing one-handed with my wrist curled up by my chest like a T Rex. So there's that. I should be able to finish at least two submissions out of three left to go, do Russian translation, and then dictate a chunk of Person of Interest for the blog later tonight. Which would be nice.

It's spring cleaning time. I should start with the craft room this weekend, since that never did get properly picked up and everything put away. And what I really want to do is put some kind of padding on the craft table, but I don't think that's going to end up happening. Still. I might even start that tonight, at least for an hour or so. The closets in the master bedroom need to be picked up a bit, or at least mine does. Clothes need to be gone through. The bed in the other spare room could stand to be put together, and I have no idea what oooh. Actually, since we seem to be pretty good for shelves right now, maybe I'll abscond with some of them from there. That could work! And then I'd have places to put my projects.

Still have no idea why I have Entends-tu Le Violon stuck in my head, but that's going on a day or so now. At least the better part of today.

Things I have yet to finish: Luna Stations secondary submission, Fireside primary and secondary submission. No, I don't know why I'm submitting everything in two's this week. Things I have to do tonight: guitar practice and Russian. I also need to finish my goddamn arm warmers so that my fingers aren't freezing off. Or move my damn guitar out of the office again and into the living room where I can run the space heater without popping off half the house. Seriously, our first major windfall is going into rewiring the damn house, but as old as it is it'll take a hideous chunk of change, so fuck that for now. Arm warmers and/or moving guitar in to where it's warm. So, um. Order of things, I guess, is guitar and dinner in some order therein, hour of picking up the craft room and putting things away/moving shelves into the craft room. Then sitting down for all the writing. Sure, I can do that. No problem.
