Dec. 26th, 2012 09:44 amDon' wanna go back to work. I mean, okay, I kind of do, because it'll be nice to be doing something that isn't Yuletide or stumbling around the house for a bit. But at the same time. Don' wanna.
Yuletide! I think I already posted about Yuletide. I haven't had much of a chance to dig through the archive since my last rec post. That whole pesky day job thing got in the way, but maybe there will be some tonight. I mean to go through at least the Looper section, the Darkangel Trilogy, and. There was one other fandom I wanted to look into, and now I've quite forgotten. And then off and on throughout the day I'll tag back on my Yuletide fics because that anonymous-until-revealed thing is kind of awesome.
I have at least 4 NYR stories to write/finish now. All the books were packed and all the DVDs were packed and I didn't have time or space to go through all the boxes neatly and pull out all the canon I wanted to review! Granted, I probably didn't have time to review all the canon I wanted to review either, but now the things-to-write list resets and there's already six things on it. Plus original work edits. Yeeesh. Fortunately a) the beginning of the year is usually slow here and b) None of these things have hard and fast deadlines. Fortunately. Unfortunately my brain seems to have keeled over and died from Yuletide and is refusing to write. I'll have to have words with it.
Between that and this and every other thing there's resuming routines and house shit, too. The wind from the storm tore a couple of shingles off the roof, we need to clean EVERYTHING, we haven't figured out where the ants are coming from because they never amass in the same place twice (although those suggestions were VERY helpful, thanks, guys!) and we need to unpack everything. Although tonight should help, I think we're going to get the bookshelves placed tonight, which means unpacking pretty much all the book boxes since we threw out a bunch of modular shelving from the apartment? A lot of those books can go on the inset bookshelves all over the place, and then the rest can go on the bookshelves we're going to put in the office and upstairs in the hall. So that ought to get a bunch of THAT out of the way. And then more when my freaking dresser gets here argh. I know they said it would take a few weeks but instant gratification, dammit! Actually, that might be tonight, the great moving bookshelves and the great unpacking of boxes, because half of those boxes are book boxes. And then a huge chunk of those are my craft supplies. Which means, ew, getting the mattress currently in my craft room downstairs. Waaah don' wanna. Okay, so this is going to be a most of the week project.
Can't I just go back to bed?
