I take it back about the parkour. It was barely above freezing and there was snow on the ground and no, I am not going out to jump around on stumps in that weather. Fuck that.

Really, really glad it's Friday. Really glad my short story is on its final pass with my beta team now! Seriously, have I mentioned how much I love having a good beta team? A good editor is worth her weight in gold, a good team of editors is priceless. I don't care what you say, Laurell K. There is no author so good they do not need an editor.

Right. Work, and please GODDESS AND MUSES let me have the energy to finish my damn Black Ice thing today. It keeps getting pushed off because I keep having editing shit to do, and submission shit, and now, well. Maybe now I can finish it. Argh.

Dammit. That was way too quick, I need to go back and review both those sections. And then finish up dependent clauses because eesh, three more subsections.

Right. I don't need to pick up Irish and jam it into my brain just yet, not until I'm done with the Russian book. Not, the end is in sight, ACTUALLY done. And then applying it. Actually, in addition to the Rosetta things for Spanish review, I might start typing up War of the Buttons and parsing the grammar on that just to keep in practice with French. Something to think about for weekends, anyway. Oh, and I mean to Rosetta my Steam-Powered submission at some point, although I wouldn't expect that to go up anywhere. Unless it gets accepted, and then I guess I could toss in a translation as a bonus for people who buy it? Hm. Something to think about.

Huckabee saying that people should be forced to listen at gunpoint to a speaker he particularly likes is not awesome. At all. It is terroristic and violent rhetoric, bordering on hate speech. Fuck you, Huckabee. You are a public figure and a Presidential candidate. Presidential candidates do not say that they want to point guns at people until they listen to someone who espouses your point of view. Not in this country they fucking well don't. Even now, even with all this conservative, autocratic rhetoric flying around. Fuck you very much, Mr. Huckabee. You are a bigot and a bastard.

My roundup will hopefully go up tonight after I get back from Rango, because for a couple of hours my life will not be about politics or my writing deadlines and I need that. Then... actually, I feel like a lot of the writing pressure has lifted, so hopefully tonight there will be more stuff done. Because I don't, apparently, work very well under pressure except on the things that are causing the pressure. Or something. I'm sure I had one or two more things to say here, but fuck that, I'm going to go see Johnny Depp lick his own eyeball.
