Reading Russian is getting easier, or at least, quicker. As long as I don't have to stop and look up vocab, which in my textbook I don't, so much, anymore. These exercises most of the time I just flipped back to the dialogue, didn't have to look up the translation. And I didn't have to look up the translations at all for the questions in the second. That's progress, I guess!
I did my taxes. I did my damn taxes, and I did balance my books and they were a single penny off. Which just doesn't happen. I went for months with a twenty dollar discrepancy in my books because I was too lazy to go back for a couple months and try and unravel it; as long as it stayed a $20 discrepancy I knew it was there and I was fine, but now? A single penny! This makes me very happy. I've completed a number of onerous tasks I was bitching about the other day, things will go in the mail, it'll be all right. Well, I have to actually pay taxes rather than get a refund, that's not all right, but I don't feel so bad about that.
... My god, they're on Segway mowers out there.
Anyway. Lots more to do today. Filing. God I hate filing. Filing the rest of the order papers today, and then the internet order papers tomorrow. And somewhere in there, doing some more cleaning. At least the box room is in decent shape, I've been routinely fixing that up so that it pretty well stays in shape most of the time. I need to put together a grocery list for the boy of things I want to make ove the weekend. Spaghetti sauce is done, and I want at least two other big stew type dishes to just re-heat when the time comes. And then I'll be ready for the mail order sale. Oogh.
