Cut my workout in half today, 30 minutes instead of an hour, most of that yoga and stretches rather than harder exercise. This due to the fact that I spent four and a half to five hours solid, yesterday, running merch up and down stairs and elevators and weighing and running around and hauling tubs of yarn and you wouldn't believe how heavy that can get until you start piling up half-pound cones of yarn into tubs. You can fit a lot of those in a mail tub. fifteen, twenty pounds easy. Which isn't a lot, but when you're lifting and moving those all morning...

Anyway. Well, there's that, at least. And, dude. I can get up in the mornings and walk to my aunt's house. I can walk. In the outdoors. That is nothing short of ecstacy-inducing, these days. Just being able to get out in the sunshine. I missed the sunshine. I missed walking. I'd like it to be a smidgen warmer but, hell, I don't care, it's warm enough for me to go outside without freezing my tits off.

Still have an epic fuckton of stuff to do today, not the least of which involves posting my other apocabigbang fic that doesn't have its art yet, and making travel arrangements. I hate making travel arrangements. Like poison. It's irritating, the travel agencies are deceitful, and the security is always a hassle. I guess arrangements to the sheep and wool festival come during the day, and then other arrangements towards the evening, might be the best way to do it. Plus need to schedule my physical... no, medical stuff can happen tomorrow. I have too much shit to do today. Argh. Just, generally argh. At least once most of that stuff is over with, it's over with.

I remember how to knit and purl! And at some point I need to find the time to card and spin the rest of my wool. It'd be nice if, when I'm actually at the conferency festival thing, I know how to do these things, at least the basics so I know what people are talking about.

Oogh. So much crap to do this week, and so damn tired. And the boy still hasn't heard about the latest job interview, and. Argh. Fucking economy. There's a whole other rant here about the sheer idiodicy of, as far as I can tell, almost the entire Republican party right now (and some of the Democrats, but mostly the obstructionist Republicans) but that can go up another time.

I really need to stop signing up for Big Bangs. Apart from adding to my workload, I just don't seem to write the stories anyone really wants to read. Also… well, okay, no, I won't bitch about that particular thing in a public forum. I will bitch about the fact that my other artist hasn't contacted me at all about art for my Glaucon story. Which is more than a little aggravating. I should have done my own damn art for the other story, though.

Anyway.

The present perfect tense in German (haben/sein + ge participle t) refers to all actions or states in the past in conversational German. The simple past (which apparently we will get to eventually) is used to narrate connected events in the past, and called the 'narrative past.' So I guess the simple past tense would be used to do the kind of little story I just did last night. Meh. At least I got an amusing story out of it.

... The boys pizza came with a fortune cookie in both English and Spanish. That’s just WRONG. But we're also watching a guy make an invisibility cloak. So that's cool? I don't even know.

Anyway. This made me feel better.
