Nov. 29th, 2009 10:45 pmOof. Well. That was only mildly insane.
Nanowrimo is done. I won. I'm still debating whether or not I'll post the rest of Corsair because the quality of writing in it is irritating me. But I think I will, for the first time in a while, take advantage of the free galley proof for my Nameless novel (which, unlike the man himself, has a name) The Long Road and then see what I can do with it in terms of maybe self-publishing and/or publicizing.
But Nano is done, and depending on what the details of the free galley proof offer are, I may postpone shipping Astrid off or I may try to work on getting three novels publication ready simultaneously starting in January. Until then, I have challenges to do.
Yuletide isn't a problem, so much. Well, okay, the Angel Apocalypse-Big-Bang one is slightly problematic because I have no idea what happened in the comics post-series, but the Dresden Files one isn't that problematic. I may go through the outline and flesh it out a bit but starting December 1st I have scheduled to write it. I went through and redid my writing schedule somewhat for the first week or so of December since I didn't count on not being able to write quite so much these past ... week and a half or so. But I can still fit in all my obligations. I have
apocbigbang and
yuletide, and quite possibly
ginnybigbang if I can... oh. I just checked my writing schedule. Yeah. I can totally do this.
Still sleepy, though. Oi. I went out last night with a very old friend and a somewhat new friend, spent way too much money at a Japanese steakhouse, Coldstone, and bookstore. I did get the new Writer's Market for novel writers and short story writers, which I needed, and I got fairy porn, which I just finished flossing my brain with. It was enjoyable and convinced me entirely that I need to get Nameless's novel out there just to get some decent goddamn fae fiction out there. Oi. But, oh god. Japanese steakhouse. Stuffed myself silly and enjoyed every minute of it. And we came back and I banged out the last of The Long Road, and then I got up this morning and banged out a good chunk of Corsair, and then I cleaned house with the boy and then sat down and painted some minis. Which I haven't done in ages. That actually felt really good. We also watched Pan's Labyrinth, which was still trippy, and the Devil's Backbone, which was also trippy.
And now I'm going to bang out my Yuletide Pinch hit and go to bed. Because dear god I'm tired. Tomorrow I can work out the other scheduling issue of slipping in my guitar practice somewhere because, dammit, I have TSO guitar picks and they demand to be used.
