Jan. 4th, 2009 09:23 pmOyeah. I need a new computer. The CD drive doesn't work, the fan is rattling, the battery is dying, the power port or power cord is dying, I'm not sure which, part of the plastic that attaches the screen to the base is broken and now a USB port has given up the ghost.
Bleh.
On the plus side, it's actually not that expensive to get a laptop to meet my needs right now. I don't game. I browse the web and play MP3s and that's about it. I'll save up for a few months, buy a new computer (hopefully no crises requiring money will turn up in the meantime) and turn this old one into my backup.
I was going to get some writing tonight, but I'm sore enough that I think I'm going to take a hot bath and call it a night. I'll pop in the USB hub thing tomorrow so I actually can charge my iPod and use my mass storage device at the same time, and then I guess my laptop will be a desktop for a little while. C'est la vie.
