I HAVE A KITTY!!!

When I was growing up, I had two cats. They were adorable.. one was white with blackish grayish splotches and one was a brown and gray tabby. They were called Sampson and Ginger respectively. Then, after they went away, we were catless for a little while till I brought home a white and orange kitten that had been birthed under a stoop near my apartment. We called it David. Short for David Bowie. Yes, I was an obssessive little kid. We had David for the entirety of his long lifespan... a minor miracle considering my mom usually ships cats off to my aunts farm after her asthma gets too bad. After David got to be a couple years old we got two new kittens.. Tygra and Artemis, an orange tabby and a black cat, respectively. Then David died, I went off to college, my mother decided she couldn't have any more cats. (Of course after I moved out they got another one. Pafui). I have been catless for five years since.

NO LONGER!

I have a kitten! We caught one of the strays outside Blue's house, and it is the cutest little tabby you ever saw.. brown with a little bit of orange. And a little stubby tail :( Something happened to its tail, so now it's largely dessicated and will probably fall off. Sailor boy wants to call it stumpy :( I'm holding out for Thomas or Charlotte, because of my victorian kick.

A kittenerific day

Well, I'm back at home. Yay. Stupid apartment. Stupid roommate. Stupid not able to take kitten home. He wrote some rude stuff on the white board again. I'm torn between blatantly ignoring it and leaving it there, and taking it down. I'll probably just leave it there. He's being childish again.

On the plus side, we took the new kitten to the vet today. Apart from the usual feline baby ailments like mites and worms, it's healthy. And the tail. Poor thing, I have no idea what happened to its tail, but its down to the bone, which is withered and dessicated. It'll probably fall off to the nub, shortly, and the nub is red and pussy. We got some antibiotics in case it gets infected, and the usual mite and worm medicine.

Other than that, the weekend was actually pretty uneventful. Went up to Pirate!John's and watched Cutthroat Island. Which was horrible. But I didn't say so because he adores the movie. Went out to eat at Chili's for the first time, and they turned out to have some very good chile con queso dip. Pirate and Sailor both said we should have some for Friday games, so I agreed to make some. It seems to just be the family traditional recipe for cheese sauce with a bit of spices and a little more milk than usual.

I really need to get a job now.. most especially now. Hopefully Target hired me, an it please the Goddess (please Goddess!) and then I can at least get my own studio apartment and keep the cat there. I do wonder how big a studio is. Oh well. And then I'll be out of this apartment, stupid ex, childish freakmonkey that he is. And I'll have a job and an apartment and a car and a kitty! Oh its' been so long since I've had a kitty.
