kittydesadeOkay, that was definitely one of the most vivid and strange dreams I've had in a long time.. and it was practically begging me to write a story about it. So much for my lack of inspiration about original fics! But here, here's what I can type down quick before it leaves...
"You're supposed to be her Champion on Earth!" the strange boy shouted. "I'm her Champion in the Sky!"
He pulled her up onto his horse with a smile. This time the horse was black, the same shiny black of his hair, with flirted tail and thick fetlocks. For some reason he was in formal dress now, black trousers and a flowing white shirt that actually didn't look too out of place at the Renne Faire. Maybe he'd chosen the Faire because it was the only place he wouldn't look strange. Now she was the one who looked out of place, in her blue jeans and _____'s big black leather jacket.
He pulled her up onto the horse and they galloped forward, scattering the princesses and jesters in their way. As they gathered speed the horse gathered himself, bunched, leaped... and was galloping in the air. So this was what the boy had meant...
She couldn't help it. She threw a kiss to the assembled crowd as they galloped off into the sky.
The goblin leered at her and scampered away, leaving her to wonder if it was just her imagination, or if she really had been seeing evil creatures at school.
"You have to come with me..." the handsome boy said. "Both of you. Quick, there's no time!"
Young blonde man with a big shiny sword.
Kill the goblin.
Then take the sky road towards the night rainbow?
Damn. That's about all I can remember... all that's coherent anyway. I hope that will be enough. Enough to write on anyway. Enough to jog my memory. The really weird thing is, Loreena McKennitt's The Highwayman was playing in my head all through the dream.
Ok... since I'm just barely awake... going to go do the usual morning routine.
EDIT: After some thought and consideration and contemplation about the dream, I have decided that afterwards the Champion on Earth wanders off and goes back to being a mindless, stuck up pretty boy in school and the Champion in the Sky dies. And the heroine's in love with the Champion in the Sky (who's from an entirely other world, hence thte title of Champion in the Sky), so...
My dreams are incredibly depressing.
I'm not sure what to do with this story. I think I'll jot down some notes while I'm at training today. Stupid training.
