Status Report

kittydesadeSlowly gearing up for Nanowrimo. Yes, I know it's August. I'm getting into the habit of writing so many words per day again, which I've been slacking on for most of this year. Not so much slacking on the writing, but definitely slacking on the discipline of writing.
At the moment I've been working on a second draft of a novel I wrote a while back. A lot of you might be familiar with it, it's that Sofia-Val-Nicky thing I've been working on for years. This one looks like it might be a much more complete, much more definitive draft than the first one although of course pieces of the first one will be used in the second. Actually, probably most of it. I'm adding a whole new section, though; the formative years, their childhood, all those wonderful experiences. It's interesting going.
I'll probably also start working on a couple other novels I nano'd in previous years, getting second drafts and up from 50k words to 90-120k words. I'm hoping to finish these by the end of the month.
Am also working on a short story. Which is in three parts. And I don't know how they go together.
And now, the Larch.
I've been on a hiatus/vacation from roleplay. LJ. Drama. That kind of thing, for the past... few days. This will last until probably after GenCon. For those of you who want to know when that is, it's the weekend after next. I need to get writing done, I need to get painting done, I need to calm down and not feel like either exploding and snapping at people or clinging to them weepily. 'cause both of those are bad. So there will be lots of sleep, lots of writing, lots of painting. Some exercise. Lots of Christian Bale and Shakespeare and Ron Perlman and, apparently, Angelina Jolie, and other things that make me feel good. Like dark chocolate. Those of you who need to reach me for whatever reason have my e-mail. Those of you who don't have my e-mail can use my LJ e-mail. 'cause it works just as well.
