Feb. 3rd, 2021 11:48 pmIt's very good that my brain has decided to enthusiastically think about making ... three? Three. Sinatra or Rails apps. Sites? I'm still working my way around this technology, basically interactive sites that would just sort of hang around on my website and be useful/amuse me, but it's also causing me to want to code at interfering times of day and night. Like when I really need to be writing and winding down for the day, not starting a coding session that could last until 2am if I'm not careful.
This bodes well for my choice of new careers but brain, come on. Now is not the time. Plus you'll kick yourself if you don't get some writing done today.
I really need to stop getting my writing done at ass o'clock at night too. Tonight was sort of inevitable that it'd end up this way, what with staying up till 4am last night because of high winds and the anxiety they cause, but hopefully I can get to bed by 1am or a little after tonight and slowly reset my schedule tomorrow. Plus I need to be awake and cogent by 11am for a meeting with a local solar panel installer person. And then by 3 for a study group on Git and Github but that's far more likely.
... welp, so much for getting to bed by 1am but I'm going to end this now, I was checking my email one last time before finishing some things up and it turns out my cousin, his wife, and one of his sons has covid. My aunt (his mother) and his other son are testing negative and they're scheduled to be retested at the end of the week, and they're all isolating as much as they can, but it's all a bit screamy up in here now. Thankfully they're not hospitalized, and hopefully won't be. We'll take it day by day I suppose.
