I have been appropriately stabbed and drained of some of my fluids by medical professionals, yay. All my medications are refilled for the time being and my blood pressure is the lowest it's ever been, which is mildly ... what's the word when you don't want to say you're alarmed but you're squinting hard at a result? It's that. But the doc didn't seem alarmed after asking if I was experience a range of listed side effects which I was not, so that's fine. All of my cholesterol and sugars are borderline worrisome, which I'm not sure if that's because I was eating like crap last spring or what, but hopefully these results are better. The point being, yay my prescriptions are refilled and at some point I will remember I'm not in my twenties still as far as my diet goes. The rest is fine, it's just my diet that wants to be still young and resilient.

In less yay news the only place I can get tested for the corvids in this country is still, wait for it... the ER. Assholes. I'm hopeful that by the time I'm at risk for it (i.e. it's come to the place where the boy works) I can just go to my GP if I ever spike a fever and get tested. Because at that point I'm just going to be goddamn checking my temperature daily, I cough and sniffle enough that who fucking knows. And wake up when the boy comes home at stupid hours, or when the cat vomits, and then I feel tired, and I just. I guess dot gif.

Archimedes is coming back! And back and back and back. This time, according to a text from the boy, he took his time running away so maybe he's getting used to us. I really hope so, I would love to have more cats ... yes, I am a sucker. But I would love to have more cats around. I also hope he's tipped, which we'll find out as we get to see him more. I'm a little curious if the house up the street is also taking care of him or if he's coming back to us more often because we're the only reliable source of food anymore. Not sure.

We're going to pretend today is Wednesday for a second because I didn't get up any Wednesday Reads on the day of aaand. What was between the Glamourist and the Incryptids? Right, another Witcher book, Sword of Destiny. Which as I understand it is the second short story collection, and now it's novels. But those are on hold because the latest Incryptid by Seanan McGuire came out, and I decided to put Witcher on hold to devour the rest of the Incryptid's. I'd already read Discount Armageddon and Midnight Blue-Light Special, decided I liked them, I don't remember why I didn't get the rest except I do have dozens upon dozens of other books to read. But eventually I decided to just grab them all on my next paycheck after Imaginary Numbers came out. And I did, and so that's happening. I've gone through Half-Off Ragnarok, Pocket Apocalypse, and Chaos Choreography in the last, um. Few days? Less than a week. And now I'm on the Antimony run of books, I just started Magic for Nothing this morning. They're fun, they're engaging, and I got barely any writing done last night because I told myself after I put the groceries away and took a goddamn relaxing hot shower I would sit and read for twenty minutes, and oops next thing I know it's 10. So. I enjoy them! Do rec.

Not much else is going on. I'm trying to remember that playing guitar and doing art is good for me, I'm back to routines again. Mikey hasn't vomited for two nights of giving him his usual dose in a row, so I think we're good there. Went to the grocery store last night for the tomato products I hadn't yet managed to get (sauce and paste for spaghetti sauce, and a specific kind of spiced tomatoes for chili) and didn't find as much as I wanted, but since the Sav-Mor wasn't ransacked I ended up also getting brownie mix, flour and butter for extra baking, DayQuil due to a miscommunication, many pounds of beef and chicken, a gallon or so of corn oil since last year's gallon was almost out. (That's probably what we go through, really, a gallon a year, it's just that we tend to get a big jug and keep it in the baking cabinet). Got some apples and cheddar for dinner, that was nice. Aaaand did not get the tomato sauce because inexplicably, that section of the shelf was nearly empty. Not for hoarder reasons, it looked like, just that that particular size of tomato sauce was out. Alas. I'll try a different store tonight.

Everything is, apart from coronavirus, pretty calm and mundane. I am content.
