Dec. 20th, 2019 10:26 amAll right. I have my art supplies at work, so I can finish up this batch of cards and get them on their way. I have figured out the formatting for future batches of cards, so that's done too. I was not clever enough to bring all the supplies for THAT to work but whatever. Next batch. I have apparently decided without stating it to myself that the coming year will be the Year Of Doing Paper Correspondence.
I also managed not to spend my entire holiday money in one fell swoop running around all the stores I've window shopped at for months! I bought a handful of things I knew I'd been wanting, spent a quarter to a fifth of it, and now am letting it sit except for more correspondence things like cards and, heh, stamps. Not major purchases. (And one gift pack of lip balm at Sephora because my other really good lip balm vanished somewhere and now it's bugging me. Ugh.) So now my bank account is extremely happy, and I am more relaxed, and I'll buy the rest of the things I need to finish off the office, storage supplies and such, over the next few days. As I clean. Because it's hard to keep the office clean when I keep working in it. Oops.
(Of course then work was absurdly busy but I did achieve stamps and cards for future endeavors of mailing, so that was good.)
I have great plans of sitting down with pizza and cider and watching The Witcher tonight. Or pizza rolls and cider. I don't know what to expect from it in terms of material, I've been cautioned by nearly everyone on the internet with an opinion about it not to expect much in terms of quality, but I could use something amusing. So we'll give it a shot and then possibly I hope I will finish all my current cards and stop having brilliant ideas at the last minute. Though I also needed stamps, those were things I needed.
And then after the Witcher comes reading the Witcher. Also after reading the Rosewater books. Because I stopped after one chapter into the first one not because I didn't like it, but because I forgot that reading was a fun and relaxing thing I could do. Silly me.
