Jun. 18th, 2019 11:04 amIIiiiiii'm getting a bass guitar for my birthday. I think. Despite shitloads of teasing from the boy he told me to reserve one from the local shop that I'd seen last weekend and liked and did not buy because I had also just almost gotten hit by a car, thanks asshole, so high on adrenaline is not the best time to buy a bass even if it is on the used, cheaper end. And I told the boy I saw a bass I liked and he said "well call and put a hold on it and we'll look at it Satuday" and AAAAAAAAUGH.
It is a Jaguar. For all those of you who will cackle at that.
I printed up a couple more bass tabs and I really should stop because there's only so many I can learn before Saturday but I am excite.
And then after we hit the guitar shop on Saturday we go to Dave and Buster's again for the originally-intended birthday trip with games and getting an excessively large stuffed animal and so on and I am excite. I can't tell if it's because I'm rested or because I have something other than piles of work to look forward to, honestly. I did better yesterday at getting back into my routines than I have in a month or so? I did guitar practice, languages, got started on my bullet journal, did some writing. Today I did reading! For pleasure! I haven't done that in a couple months! I have so many books to read to catch up on the year's reading, holy crap.
I feel more capable of getting shit done than I have in two months or so. Definitely in the last couple of weeks. Now I just have to forgive myself and get past those two months, and keep moving, keep doing things. That's not so hard, right? Of course right.
