kittydesadeI think ultimately I ended up spending a chunk of my bookshelf and mulch money on books and games and other crap because I didn't think we would ever get around to building bookshelves or getting the backyard in shape to mulch the beds in the next couple months. I still kind of don't. >.<
But whatever, we had an excellent time over the weekend, went to McKay's in Knoxville and the Dave and Busters in Sevierville in a spontaneous trip because they just put one there. Which seems a bit redundant because Sevierville is where all the fucking theme parks are. Water parks, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, etc etc. So having a Dave and Busters there, I guess? But why tho? But we went there and I got the complete Downton Abbey, Bubblegum Crisis, Outlaw Star, a couple Hellblazer trades I did not already have which considering I had 17-now-19 of the fuckers is impressive, and some guitar tab books.
And we are getting an Instant Pot due to the tariff bullshit. We were planning on getting one anyway but now it's, well, now, instead of dithering for a while longer or waiting till they're on black friday sale. We got an 8qt, which is far more than a household of two should typically use except that we tend to make huge meals that reheat well so a usual 4qt crockpot isn't cutting it. I am already excited. Honestly I'm looking at "make potato soup in half an hour" and drooling. Y'all have no idea how much I love potato soup and it takes hours and hours to properly cook and half hour potato soup, I am drooling. Especially if I mix flavorings and chop potatoes ahead of time and tell the boy to start it when I'm on my way home. Om nom nom.
I got the second? third? to last of my Sephora boxes with a broken palette, yay, so I have to figure out if I want to set foot in the local Sephora-in-mall for the first time ever or if I just want to ship it back. Decisions. Plus side, it's a palette that was pure indulgence and not, say, makeup remover or a nail file which aren't essential in nature but are more important to me of the things one buys from Sephora. Sephora has amazing glass/crystal nail files and as I'm trying to play guitar regularly, keeping my nails short is important. And, you know, getting all the mascara off my lashes is also important.
My ID came! I am once again legitimately identified. Some more of my container store purchase came so my closet is slowly getting organized and so on, the rest should come tomorrow. I'm starting to relax some, I think. To settle into ... stuff. I don't even know what I'm settling into, really. Stuff. It was a good weekend an a good day today. Being woken up at 4am aside.
