Apr. 26th, 2019 01:29 pmI said I was going to post here more regularly. And then I didn't. I feel like a John Mulaney sketch, you know the one.
Most of the reasoning behind that is that I'm coming up on the end of the Camp Nano session fairly far behind, which of course means every waking hour that isn't eating or day job or picking up in the house is writing, so I've been falling behind in guitar and languages and checking in and everything else. Hi! I'm okay. I'm fabulous in fact, this novel is pretty amazing. I'm just also very bleh tired brain no worky.
I have read the Endgame spoilers, and while it's remotely possible that they manage to pull all that shit off in a way that makes me not hate them the odds are vanishing with every spoiler I read, as does my enthusiasm to ever pay money and go out and spend some precious boy hours to see the movie. Meh. I can't even be that disappointed, I haven't enjoyed most of the ensemble movies since Age of Ultron, which I loathed. I don't like Banner anymore, if I ever did, I think the two movies I liked him in were Avengers and Thor: Ragnarok. He hasn't been in that many movies though. I can't stand what they've done to Tony Stark. Doctor Strange is mostly amusing because half of his movie is spent on beating the snot out of Benedict Cumberbatch. Um. Yeah, I've gone quite off the MCU with the sporadic exception of things like Black Panther, Ragnarok... I didn't hate Ant Man and the Wasp but also that felt like a movie in an entirely different comic book universe somehow.
I've also spent a couple days trying not to bitch about Endgame especially given I haven't seen it, and you can see how well that's going. Oops.
I did get the shed mostly picked up yesterday. I need to flatten out the plastic I took out of it and fold it up, but that requires more hands than I possess which means getting the boy to help which means that won't happen until tomorrow at best. But the support poles are all in their bucket, the tomato cages have a place, the shed is currently storing an absurd amount of wood that we really need to cut down and make into a thing, not sure when that's going to happen but maybe as we build the bookshelves. But there's enough room to put the lawnmower in, and to stack other crap that might appear like pearlite bags, so that's fine. Next step may be to clear away the crappy breaking into pieces blue planters and use the dirt somewhere more useful. Not sure.
The house, of course, is filthy. Being as I've either been writing or gardening or day jobbing. It's surface filthy, but it still needs a good going over and I know I'm not going to get to it this weekend. Meh. Next weekend. This weekend is gardening, finishing up the damn novel, and apparently making some sort of side dish for game tomorrow did I know we were having game tomorrow? Not until yesterday evening! Yay. Why is my life such chaos, I'm supposed to be an adult and have a handle on things.
