Okay, so today wasn't quite the longest day ever on account that the boy got sick and we didn't have dinner and drinks out at night, but it almost was. Getting up at bastard o'clock in the morning and going out to get my teeth drilled and filled, that was fun. And then I did a full work day after, and then I went to class and did about as much as I could do without turning my head upside down. I mean yes, it probably would have been fine, but my jaw was still achy and it had taken a lot of abuse and I didn't want to abruptly burst a capillary and be drooling blood. Fortunately there was a fair bit of it that I was able to do while keeping my head up even if my body itself was low to the ground.

And now I am really damn tired but pretty happy with most of the things I've gotten done today. Not everything, but most of it got done. And some of it will get done as soon as I post this. Get started. I got guitar practice in even if the exercises and fingering were all things I've done before, at the end of a very long and painful day is probably not the time to practice day old fingering instead of genuinely old fingering. And I was right about it being slightly flat, so I'm pleased that my ear is accurate.

And I finished The Ballad of Black Tom while waiting for the dentist. It was pleasantly fucking creepy, as befits a novella based on the general Lovecraftian thing and I think a Lovecraft story in particular, it's been a while. Next up will be Kingdom of Copper except it's been too damn hectic of a day to start it, let alone finish it. But with my jaw still being fucked up I did have ice cream for lunch, which is something.

On the other hand now I have to finish this post, start sketching out my February BuJo, actually mark down what I did today in it, and then get my dumb ass to bed and all I want to do is sit here while tv plays and not do anything. Not just executive lag (my new term for when I don't have regularly manifest executive dysfunction but dysfunction based on illness or exhaustion) but also because the boy has a stomach flu and I don't know if I can listen to periodic vomiting all night.
