Dec. 12th, 2018 04:08 pmOkay I lied. Work was so slow today and I was not up for running around the store so I sat down and doodled up three static (non-monthly) sections of my bullet journal for next year: one for deadlines, one for goals, one for books read. (The Deadlines page is all gravestones, I love it. If I get wild and overambitious next year it may be an autopsy report. What? It says deadlines. Ooh I could do one that's chalk outlines.)
I'm liking the bullet journal thing. Not for everyday life, which I find boring to arrange too hard, but to keep my reading-writing organized which desperately need to happen. I also saw a project layout that incorporated dates which I might keep separate from deadlines because self imposed deadlines never go well like outside deadlines sometimes do. Mostly do.
I managed to get my Patreon story drafted in plenty of time, which is a first for me, usually I never have ideas related to anything until the last minute. That's one thing I definitely need to work on in my second full year of having a Patreon, that and remembering to put up polls for projects to work on and my calendar and so on. Though I'm still not sure how best to format my calendar. What I might do is post the month in review at the end of every month. Or both? Something like that? I have no idea, the calendar aspect is aggravating. I need to redo the tiers, too, resummarize. Basically I need to rework my entire social media presence aaand that should probably be a bullet journal page too, just so I remember where the fuck I am on social media.
I need to get back into edits and the office is fucking freezing. That's the only thing I don't like about working in the office, I can sort of live with the sweltering in summer but the freezing is annoying. But I need to get back in the office, I need my computer and my keyboard and my whiteboard, so I guess tonight I'll probably put three layers of tights and multiple layers of tops and go work in my damn office which is set up almost the whole way (BOOKSHELVES) and which is looking gorgeous and ... is fucking freezing. Grr.
Look at me, remembering to check in on DW for the third day in a row. Go me.
We got into a discussion of cooking duck in Summoner's War chat today. As you do in a gaming chat (no I don't know why but the French Canadian was leading it which amused the shit out of me) and it reminded me that I need to come up with at least one main dish and side for the alleged pot luck that I'm hosting but that the boy doesn't think half the people bringing things will bring something edible to. So, yes, I'm still cooking. Yay me. Plus cleaning the house, but that won't be so bad, really. I think I really am going to cave and get those Ikea shelves too, once I get the Christmas money from Mom. They fit in with the office color scheme and they'll give me a place to put a wand stand and SOME booksand my shitton of Tombow colored pens who said that I didn't say that.
