Dec. 11th, 2018 10:24 amI'm struggling not to do the same thing with Hey I Knit A Shawl In A Weekend that I did with writing. i.e. "oh hey I did this thing I can totally do this thing all the time it's not dependent on those extremely unique circumstances that was not Weekend Georg"
That was totally Weekend Georg, self, knitting an entire shawl in a weekend was an outlier caused by two longer-than-usual work weeks, post-Nano crash, and a blizzard. IT SHOULD NOT BE COUNTED.
That said, I am getting slightly more efficient at knitting with bunches of practice and muscle memory. And finishing a couple projects plus making a couple more hats for the boy suggests I really do have the energy to fold knitting back into my daily routine as a "hey I have a project I can work on this for an hour" which pleases me greatly. Plus! Plus I managed to thread my circular through all the stitches on a stockinette row of the shawl below the lace edging which I completely fucked up on the weekend shawl, then ripped all the lace edging out and I know what row I'm on and am ready to start again redoing this properly! I am a knitting badass.
I am also probably coming down with something the day after I figure out what I'm writing for the next several days. Not happy. It doesn't seem to be that bad, but I feel alternately hot and chilled and my head hurts and I can't think outside of the fuzzy brained ness that's descended. Plus I know there's been a crud running around the store. I do not want this crud, goddammit. I have shit to do. I have a lot of shit to do, including potentially planning out my bullet journal for next year although that could be the crud talking and telling me to go play with my shiny new markers. Or Christmas. Or just the shiny new markers. I'm tempted. I'll probably try to wait for the weekend when I have slightly more time though.
