Dentist appointment this morning yay. Bigger and more heartfelt and genuine yay that the only thing they found wrong were three small cavities that were "well, when you feel like coming in, we'll fix these." Which I will actually get done in a month or two when christmas in retail has settled the fuck down. That shouldn't be awful, one hopes.

I finished knitting my cowl for me and started in on the first of a handful of hats for the boy and I think given that I've only managed Huevember half the days so far I will give up on Huevember and keep my promise to myself about no watercolors if I don't finish it, which I won't. Clearly I'm not drawing or arting so much that I'm going to use watercolors, and it's okay to pick up knitting instead. What I might do is try something for MerMay and get them at the end of then. Or get a cheap/small set for MerMay, which also isn't over a Nano month which is good, and then get a more extensive set at the end.

But... hell. I'm keeping up with the housework, I'm keeping up with not one but TWO Nanowrimos (until yesterday, I got behind because it was a long day and I was tired and I wanted to finish my cowl and go to bed early to get up early for the dentist, an unfortunate confluence of events), I'm knitting, and I'm not feeling exhausted or pushed too much by keeping up with all of it. I'm keeping up with my languages on Duolingo and my various flash card bits. Apparently this is what being properly medicated gets you. In a month when there isn't a big event to push for, since we got my dosage settled around Fiber Fair month.

Heh. Keeping up with things, I've started the hat and I'm working on a vest for myself and I'm trying very hard not to start two other shawls at the same time because I still have projects on needles from when I did April Starts. Which isn't the worst idea and I may do it again this coming April, but this time less with keeping things on needles and more with keeping things on cords, knotted, to finish throughout the year. Because see also I still have projects on needles from April Starts. First thing to finish after I finish hats and one shawl: the Brooklyn Bridge mitts. Second thing to finish once I finish the vest which is my current long term project: the ginormous pi shawl (a giant lace circle, basically), which is another long term project. I think, or I thought I did before my thyroid packed it in, I work best in one short term project and one long term project so I can make big things, but I can also have small finished things to remind myself that yes, I can finish things over time.

Like hats. Or maybe shawls. Simple ones, not giant ones full of lace.

I'm... something. Content, that's the word. Not with the world at large where I want to punch several people in the face and that's just for starters, but my immediate life? I'm not happy, the energy's not quite high enough, but I'm definitely content. Makes a nice change from being worried about many things and stressed and overtired a lot of the time.
