Very tired short update: went to work, got stuff cleared off, went to the arboretum with the fam, walked around a half-empty bonsai garden (it was outdoors rather than indoors so a lot of stuff was still put away from winter) and sat around and talked and walked some more and then I dozed on Aunt's couch and other people made dinner, and then we went to capoeira and Aunt R and Mom did pretty much the entire hour-long physical exercise with me. I was so proud
The boy's father was moved from actual hospital (I don't think he was ever in the ICU but I'm not sure) to a rehab facility where presumably they're going to make him do very small amounts of exercise? Till he's better??? I don't know what does lung rehab look like, since he didn't have any of the usual conditions I associate with rehab. I'll ask the boy when he comes home. There have been no abrupt turns for the worst, and he thinks his mother wanted him over there more for moral support and so, rather than for logistics or power of attorney. He's coming back very soon, and it looks like things are going to be okay for... I don't know how long, because he is older and not in the best of health ever even when he's not scaring everyone by going into the hospital. But for a while longer.
