So, this morning I woke up and hit the off button on my alarm (which is my phone but still did it) and ended up sleeping in an hour. Which isn't the worst thing in the world on a capoeira morning, except whether or not we have class is up for debate because there's Weather going on out there and it might close the center. But, whatever, I can still do practice at home, so I roll out of bed and pet some cats and lay out my house clothes and get into the shower.
One of the cats, annoyed that I did not feed them first thing and that I slept in, hate-pissed on my clothes and into the sheet. Thankfully not into the mattress itself, since it was under several layers of my clothes. I found that out after I got out and was mightily annoyed, texted the boy because I was running so late he'd have to deal with the sheets, and got dressed in other sweats and got the cat fed. Went downstairs, found vomit on the floor. Cleaned up the vomit on the floor. Got me fed, remembered that I was going to be leading class tonight if we had class, grabbed the extra stuff I'd need for that, stuffed it into my bag. Discovered cat vomit in the clean laundry bin (well on top of) when I went to grab my capoeira uniform shirt, since if I'm going to be leading class I should look presentable. Tossed that piece of laundry back into the laundry room. Slapped a face of sparkles on, pulled on some clothes, the boy came home and it turned out the friend who was supposed to give him a ride from dropping the car off for maintenance had an emergency, so he got a rental. Yay. Made it out the door. Made it in to work. Store credit card declined on the post office website! Got the new information from the Lurking Bandit who handles the finances and knew it had been compromised as of last night but hadn't gotten to passing out the new information or entering it anywhere so, okay. Got the mail out. Got the new orders in, started picking them, one of them wants things next day shipped, looked that up, the next day shipping will cost almost as much as the product. And by that I mean a couple hundred. Spent a while frantically calling her trying to figure out if it was still okay to charge and ship next day, spent a while eyeballing the weather and the school closings to see if we're still having capoeira, spent a while carrying messages because we're out of yarn at the dye house.
And if you read all of that whining the upshot of today is I am being nibbled to death by ducks, haven't had a chance to work on studies or writing or anything that makes me happy or calms me down, and I am ready to commit murders. Even if it's only murders of tasty animals for foodstuffs. Or murders of pixels. I might commit murders of pixels tonight.
At least I have capoeira tonight. At least I'm running the class because it means I set the pace and won't drown myself in my own lung fluid trying to keep up. (I will not drown myself in my own lung fluid, I don't do that, I promise.) I might work myself into enough of a lather that I'll regret having to walk home, but I will be able to set the pace and quite possibly do my own thing since I'm the only regular student anymore. Again. We'll see. Odds are very good it'll be me and if anyone else, another beginner, so we'll do very very basic drills for an hour and then talk about capoeira for an hour.
There would be a Wednesday Reads here but at this point it's almost four and I haven't all day, at home or at work, been able to do so much as a language quiz so I am tired and out of cope. I will discuss the things I've been reading tomorrow.
ETA: because the day wasn't done fucking with me, when I got home I spent over half an hour playing Meow-co Purr-lo with Little Bit who was IN THE FUCKING WALLS. AGAIN. She hasn't done that in a while and since we blocked up her usual entrance I'm not sure how she got in, unless she got into the hole at the top of the shower and jumped down. But damn, cat.
