Given the success of women running I have a slight qualm with using that since it's Josh being unbearable at Donna. But Josh is in most other ways a decent person and it's a great line so hell with it.
HOW ABOUT DEM ELECTION RETURNS. My town elected its first ever Asian-American city council member (I love you town but you so white) and a black woman to city council making it the first time two black people have been on city council in almost thirty years (SO. WHITE.) and both of them are first timers to city council, which neatly balances out the third person elected who has been in local government before. I like a good balance of experience + fresh faces and opinions. Especially if those faces aren't white cisdudes.
I made an appointment to get my thyroid checked out of regular annual bloodwork, which is my first sign to me that I'm fucking old. Not so much because old people have thyroid issues (I don't actually know if this is true) but because in my family once you hit a certain age, well, 80% of my family after that age has low thyroid. Yay. But it might explain the creeping weight gain despite efforts, and from what I understand it might also explain the itchiness of dry skin, weird temperature regulation issues, and trouble sleeping. I guess we'll see.
Capoeira tonight! Gods, if I'm lucky capoeira fairly solidly for the next several weeks till Christmas. I would like to be more present in classes but oh god for about six weeks there my ass was getting kicked. Ugh.
