kittydesade: (and so good night)

Myyyyy colored pencils arrived. All 132 of them. That's a lot of pencils. I spent some minutes blinking a bit because it didn't say soft core on the cover, but it does on the description and the box cover matches so eh. Whatever. And then I spent several minutes staring all LOOK AT ALL THE COLORS. So many colors. I will draw so many pretty things.

.... seriously I have just spent the last half hour cackling and drooling over my colored pencils and I'm pretty sure I should stop but oh my god they're so shiny.

Work was ridiculous today. We did a day's worth of business in half a day. In two hours, most of that. And then another half a day or so the rest of the half, so that was fairly normal but oh my god you guys. Ridiculous. My legs actually hurt a fair bit and my focus is shot, so we'll see how much writing I get done tonight. I should be able to pull together focus for Arabic, though.

Which, speaking of Arabic, I re-did the exercise that I'd tried a couple weeks ago and gotten maybe 2/10. The other day I got 9/10. Take that, Bembridge scholars!

(Did I mention, no focus?)

Too tired to do much on languages tonight. I did get the passage finally fully translated in Hindi, and I got about six words strung together from individual letters in Arabic before my brain noped out and went for the colored pencils. I don't even know if I'm going to be able to color with them, I might just pet them and arrange them in color order. It's been a very long day.

*smiles* Sometimes when my brain says 'must look at that' and encourages me to sort and stack and sense pleasant small objects I think it actually uses the calm orderly time to quietly organize impressions and emotions it hasn't told me about yet. Brains are sneaky that way.
