Dec. 5th, 2016 12:26 pmHoly hell, McCrory finally conceded to Cooper. I was starting to think he'd never would, that he'd keep throwing more and more ridiculous protests out until everyone gave it to him because he whined so much. The first recount bid was reasonable, given that it was I think a 2k vote difference. Annoying, but reasonable. Filing fifty freaking two protests in different counties that were I think all of them spurious and eventually thrown out? That's just spite.
But that's done. And the Republicans still have a supermajority in the house legislature at least for the next year, until everything is redrawn to be fair and we have new elections as has been ordered by the courts, now. Because as far as I can tell the courts aren't having with this gerrymandering voter suppression bullshit. So, um. I have no idea what that's going to mean for the future or if even all of that's going to happen. But it's a tiny bright spot on the shitpile of the next four years.
Anyway. Ugh. The other other thing I need to address is exercise at home, and I think at this point I know I need to make a list of exercises to do before I start or I will just faff around for an hour. I was going to put them on this journal but I think instead I'm going to keep a notebook either at my vanity or on my shelves on the media center (both maybe? and do it that way. Write it down the night before every night, strike or check things off as I do them.
Getting frustrated with not getting anything more useful than endless Nidorans with Pokemon, so I've gone back to Summoner's War. My hero. The minus side of this is that I'm doing less walking, except it's wintery and cold and drizzly so I was doing less of that anyway. Plus Summoner's War... I won't say it's easier? I'm not sure how you'd tell. But there's way more different branches one can make progress on.
And. And it's going to get really fucking cold, which means I hope Bat Cat comes back inside. He wasn't there this morning when we went to feed him (he's been taking over Little Bit's perch by the utility room door) but that might also be because we went in later than usual. But Cassius has been getting bolder about coming up the stairs to the landing where the perch is, so I really hope he hasn't been chasing Bat Cat off of it. He and Barton already pretty much chased the poor bugger off the front stoop.
