kittydesadeSo yesterday at work I was running around the store hauling and carrying like a mad thing and today at work I'm .... drawing Pokemon.
This is funnier without backstory but the backstory is also cute so I will give it. Basically a week or two after Pokemon Go came out I got the bright idea to start felting Pokemon and selling kits of felting fiber you could use to make your own. Thus far we've sold some and twice now I've gotten called into the front to explain how to do this to people who apparently have never felted before, so I'm making instructions. And because I can't just do anything the easy way (and also because this is easier with pictures) I'm doing sketches of different pokemon felting themselves.
Why not. I'm easily amused.
I've actually done three of them in about... two and a half hours? Granted one of those was a Venonat and so far the hardest was the Beedrill, but it's not as hard as I was expecting. Or fearing might be a better word. I'm drawing from pictures, but still.
Tried to find a Peggy Carter blouse today at a vintage shop, only to be interrupted in the middle of my first damn sentence with "I don't think we have what you're looking for here." Fine, fuck you too, lady. Goodwill it is. Or Modcloth, but I've already way overspent on clothes at the last minute for this con already oops. This basically happens every year, so. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. And actually this isn't nearly as bad as the year I stress-bought a disgusting amount of leather and costume so I could play Rocket because fuck everything, fuck that entire year.
I have to remember that I still have three weeks and possibly two paychecks. I think? I think. Before this coming DragonCon. Three weeks, self. You can calm down, nothing's dire and immediate like that. Well, the sewing should be done ASAP because that's time consuming, but still. It'll be fine. You'll be okay. Breathe. I do need to remember this. Because I've been spending a good chunk of today escaping in drawing pokemon.
But, eh. Things are getting done, slowly but steadily. So there's that.
Also I need both a drawing icon and a Pokemon Go icon. Hmm.
