kittydesadeWell, that would have been a good night's sleep except when the boy woke me up coming to bed, instead of rolling back over and going back to sleep like normal I spent about 45 minutes worrying about paying for everything up to DragonCon and having credit card debt (not connected to the chimney) when I was supposed to have dealt with that already and being a completely irresponsible spender person and and and. Forty five minutes! I have capoeira today, I need sleep! Ugh.
(Fortunately upon waking up from sleep the second or third time I ran the numbers again and no, I'll be tight over DragonCon but it'll be okay. The middle of the night makes everything a horror movie.)
Everything today feels like moving through molasses. I disapprove in the strongest terms. I've had food, both real and sugar-loaded chocolate bombs, my body rebelled at the thought of eating my leftover pasta so I don't even know, at least there wasn't much of it left? So I'm having salad instead, which is not the worst thing in the world but oh my god body eat what I fucking put into you I am too tired for this bullshit. Hopefully I can sleep better tonight than last night.
Still working my way through Serpentine and Blackwater, have started something that I apparently bought two years ago oops, called... Unborn, I think. Something something gods and monsters type. No, I haven't gotten very far into it, see also: very scattered and sleepy.
I don't even know what to say about Trump saying he'll use the nukes except please god let the Cold War panic be useful for something. The immediacy of Nazi Germany may be fading along with those who lived through it, although you'd think just being aware that it happened would be good enough, but a lot of people alive right now lived through duck and cover drills, mutually assured destruction, etc. And his cavalier attitude towards nuclear proliferation/usage ought to scare a shitload of people into realizing this is not a man who should be put in charge of a dog walk. Not a dog walking business, one dog walk around a city block. Let alone a business, let alone a country.
Which actually, oddly, makes me feel somewhat better about my chances of surviving living in this country past November.
