Mar. 25th, 2016 10:23 amOkay, that time I woke up early enough and the major problem was finding the damn library book that had fallen down behind the couch. And I ended up not getting to read it because I couldn't find it, but everything else happened in good time. Go me?
My reward for this, of course, was having enough time to play a bit of Diablo. Mua ha ha ha ha.
I need to get a bit more organized about Drawspace and what lessons I have and which I don't and what work best for me as opposed to the ones that just make me frustrated and avoidant. Although right now I think mostly what I'm doing is downloading all the lessons in one section to a folder so I can go through them later. And then the next folder, and the next. I've definitely confirmed, though, that I can't just go through one entire block of lessons like I can on any other learning site. That way lies madness and boredom. I think the process is going to end up being pick a lesson, do it two or three times, pick one that feels like a good step up from that and also one that helps me get to where I want to be, practice that. Keep moving.
(Christ, Aromaleigh's having a spring sale and my willpower for the sparklies continues to be at about nil.)
I did soothe my makeup fears today by realizing it falls under Phryne's First Rule of Fashion: dress and decorate for your own pleasure. If it conforms to society's standards, that is entirely a side issue.
Today... oogh. Today. I think today will be a day of getting writing and editing out of the way soon so I can do some of the Human Origins stuff I've been putting off forever. I need to do that, I need to finish Skull Wars. Which is fascinating! I'm just being very bad lately about making time to sit down and fucking read.
Blegh, I don't know. I have a lot of things I need to do. Mostly in the realm of writing things, scholastic things, but still a lot of crap I need to do. The boy's going to be out of town for a few days so I might be able to get Roomie to come garden with me, but I need to prep the garden at least somewhat. Maybe that can wait till April. Plant flowers. TOO MANY THINGS TO DO. Not enough time to do them in. So I guess it's knocking down Habitica lists and making new ones, to start with.
