Mar. 23rd, 2016 10:10 amWell that was stupid. Today's running late is entirely my own fault, as I decided to stop to play Diablo for 30-45 minutes this morning. As you do when you think you have extra time, but I was actually using that extra time to sleep, and thus running late. And incredibly hyper and kind of scatterbrained.
I've also made a Habitica list of all the areas I need to backfill physics videos on, which is a surprising lot. It doesn't help that Khan took away all ability to account for what or how much of each lesson group you've done or haven't done. Just for physics so far, at least as far as I can tell, but guys. That is not actually helpful. I do like Khan Academy, I love their videos which are nice and concise and generally clear, I just don't like this whole can't tell where you need to complete stuff and what you've done and everything else thing.
Anyway. If today stays relatively quiet and/or relatively simple at work it may end up being the day of all the writes and all the online lesson catching up ish, and by online lessons I mostly mean physics although I think the last Civil War lesson drops today, too? Something like. Catching up on Human Origins can wait till tonight, and catching up on the graphic design/web design I need to do for book covers and my website can wait until Thursday/Friday/this weekend. Which will be alternating between those two things, blogging, and planting all the flowers. And now that I've said that I need to write that down somewhere I'll actually remember that. Probably Gcal on my phone.
The cycle continues! Feeling somewhat less like I'm behind on everything and more like I can do this thing. And that thing, and a couple other things. We'll see how long this lasts, I keep getting distracted by physics and math, which are much easier than writing because they have concrete answers that are either true or not true.
Wednesday Reads
So I discovered the LCS over the weekend and as a result know where a lot of my spare money is going over the next few months. Not makeup anymore! I picked up Saga Vol 1 and Saga Vol 2 and devoured them and love them and LYING CAT. Lying Cat is the fucking awesomest. Apparently you can have plush Lying Cats that talk now. I want one. And I got the Death compilation graphic novel all written by Neil Gaiman, naturally, and that was also enjoyable, and I ordered Swords of Sorrow which is both all of the money and all of the pages holy shit. 504 pages. And pre-ordered Clean Room. So I've got that reading cut out! Now I just have to get back to Skull Wars. Maybe tonight when I'm too tired to do much of anything else.
