Jan. 22nd, 2016 09:27 amEnded up getting to sleep at 1 because I'm an idiot who is easily sucked into books.
Woke up at 6.30 because I'm twice an idiot whose natural alarm clock is apparently strong today. Staggered over to the balcony which has a big glass door unimpeded by blackout curtains and looked out. At least 2-4 inches of snow on the ground, and it was continuing to fall. So, no, I am not going anywhere today.
And then I ended up staying up and finishing my book and starting the day because see also idiot who is easily sucked into books. There is a nap in my future. Also no capoeira tomorrow unless a mini heat wave happens, but today's exercise can happen after that nap.
So. I guess I get to stay home for an impromptu three-day weekend, bake, write, edit, do all that good stuff I was freaking out about not having time to do? Yeah. Sure, why not. I have a fully-loaded kindle and a bunch of paperbacks and I think the only thing we have to worry about is the power going out. At which point we pack up ourselves and the cats and move into the store where it's warm and all the power lines are buried. But on the other hand if it hasn't gone out now, I don't think it would, and even if it does we're close enough into town that I don't think it would take crews long to fix. I don't think. I hope.
Still and nonetheless. Snow day! Day of focusing on writing and such tasks without having to worry about being interrupted by day jobligations. Day of working in my PJs because that's what you can do when you're having a snow day at home. I guess the first thing to do, well, no, the first thing to do is deal with languages and maybe physics because those are nice and quick and easy and I know I need to do them. Then will be prioritizing tasks and working on those for the weekend. Whee!
