kittydesadeToday is just one of those days when I should not have gotten out of bed or checked my phone or anything. (I checked my phone to see if anyone had any urgent news and the BBC headline was right at the top.) I have a Kindle! I had a couple paperbacks, I could quite happily have stayed in bed for days with only bathroom and food breaks. But no. I had to be a responsible adult and get up and get showered and dressed and go to work. Responsible adulthood is highly overrated.
I have so much work to and not enough time to do it in and my brain is going to melt out of my ears because I have no time to deal with anything. The good and the bad! There has been good! Of a similarly startling nature as Hey, that rock star you based so much of your core fiction and a huge chunk of your imaginary love life on just died but of a much much better nature. Due to a series of events and connections that pretty much only happen either in hours-long conversation late at night or nowadays on the internet, I ended up sending a two-page synopsis and some character notes to An Author I Adore and not only did she like it, she considered it worthy of further/closer study, so I'm kind of over the moon on that one.
But it's still been a roller-coastery week. And I've got a lot of work to do and my brain is kind of reeling all "can't we have a day of not doing anything? just reading? maybe sleeping a lot?" Although if we have to have a roller-coaster can we have EEE EXCITING THINGS PRAISE AND POTENTIAL okay several hours of calm. EEE MORE EXCITING THINGS. Rather than EEE EXCITING OH WHAT THE FUCK WOE AND DOOM.
I'm tired. And I have so much to do, and granted most of it is finishing the Justice course before deadline and that's fun, but I'm tired and I hurt both from capoeira and from all this death, and I want room to breathe more than I expected after having a couple weekends of vacation.
Here is a paragraph of things to do in no particular order: Justice course, first few lectures in immunology (take MANY notes), write some more in Long Road, finish filling in scenes in Sandborn, await further input on WS:AP and see if V wants to see it, physics, biology, Helix, drawing practice, guitar practice. Reading. Work stuff, depending. And picking up in the house. Though I suppose since the only thing that has an immediate deadline are the online courses, it's not so bad.
Now if you'll all excuse me, I'm going to go build a fort of dead white philosopher dudes and hide behind it till the end of time.
