Dec. 14th, 2015 11:14 amYou know, if it's going to be this warm, do I really actually need fleece-lined tights? I'm just saying. Ugh. Double ugh because even if it is warm and I don't need fleece-lined tights, or thermal tights or whatever they are, it's creeping me out what this climate change is going to do to us long term. Creeping me right the hell out.
Apparently today was the due date for the test sweater *eyes sweater that has no sleeves and is only half finished on the bottom* Oops. I think I'm going to pretend I didn't see that email until tomorrow night, which should be enough time for me to get it most of the way there since it's pretty much all straight knitting now. And in my defense, there was the whole week of the crushed hand. And most importantly, did I miss an email? I may have, but I do not remember getting a deadline for this damn sweater. If I had, honestly, I probably would have done that instead of fucking off most of the yesterday for Full Metal Alchemist and online lessons.
So, yes, I am currently debating whether I want to watch the last chunk of Inuyasha because it's got completely different voice actors on the DVD and is on Hulu only in subbed form and wow the dissonance there. And I am now on Full Metal Alchemist anyway, with a side order of Attack on Titan as a sort of Japanese audio practice. Which is telling me that I do not have NEARLY the vocabulary to follow everything I want to, but that when I do have the vocabulary the speed isn't so bad, and also the times when the subtitlers translate single word sentences into multiple word English sentences with the tonal meaning translated into explicit meaning is fucking hysterical. Literally, there is one Japanese word and it got translated to "Is it something to do with your work?" I mean, I see why, and it's a good translation, it just makes me giggle.
So yes. I have entered a vast stage of consume ALL THE ANIME. Except I can't find YuYu Hakusho anywhere except on DVD and whoof expensive. Meh. Well, no, I did find the first season for less than $65 and more comparable to what the other seasons are, so ... something. I'll keep an eye on it. In the meantime, ALL THE ANIME. I still don't entirely know why.
Slowly going out of my head at work but at least it looks like I can get edits done, and then have the entirety of the evening to knit. And even if I don't have as much brain in the evening, I can knit and listen to/watch lecture videos at the same time, so that works. Haven might happen, depending on how far I've gotten how late it gets, but I only have 15 minutes left of that too. Tomorrow morning! Tomorrow evening. Bits and pieces. So it goes.
