kittydesadeWelp. That was a thing that happened. I got a wild hair last night and decided I should make a build your own universe worksheet to go with the build your own world worksheet, and then I got the idea, no seriously this is a thing I should do, I can do it for my Design Project for Astronomy. So I posted last night quickly before I could lose my nerve, is this a thing I could do. And the staff said it sounds like an excellent idea. So, okay! This ought to be interesting. And funny.
I did at least figure out what I did wrong on my gloves, which is to say I did it wrong a while ago, I added an extra repeat of the pattern than it calls for in the first glove. Which I don't suppose matters unless I don't have enough yarn for two extra extra long gloves. Hopefully I do, I would think so. I'll weigh it all today at work and see. And then I can get started on knitting samples for the two or three new yarns we got in, the more permanent yarns not the mill ends/seconds/etc we've been getting from places. Which ought to be fun. I do enjoy knitting, I just don't know what all I'll do with it, and then I end up with a pile of gloves that don't have any particular place.
And the roda is happening, and I'm going to work most of the day and then go to it, and then we're putting up people in the house for the night afterwards so they don't have to drive home immediately. Which means picking up some, wiping things down, but that's not hard. Just takes time. Still nervous about the whole thing, but hopefully I can get through it without completely freaking out. Helps a lot that it's on home turf, so to speak.
Feeling oddly very energized this morning. Which had damn well better turn into focus or I'm going to be running around in circles getting nothing accomplished and then I'll be cranky at myself.
Priorities: 1.White Lightning, because that comes up soonest. 2. CW2.0, see previous. 3. Progress in Sandborn, but only two scenes. 4. Astronomy, physics, etc. 5... I don't know what 5 should be. Probably the Astronomy worksheet, or at least a rough outline thereof. 6. Some alliance charts for the relevant groups (House of Oak and Ash, Australia or whatever it's going to be), 7. Drabbles and babbles for the same just to get that off my checklist and all of that off my Habitica account. Progress! Oh, 8. Web page list of things to do. Priorities. Prioritization.
Many wiser and more energetic people than me have said things about Peeple, so I'm going to leave it at what in pluperfect hell are they thinking and I think in this case Hanlon's law is wrong, it is malice. It's two women who never made it out of the social Battle Royale that is middle school/high school, and they want everyone else to suffer with them. How else do you explain the fact that they will. Not. Fucking. Listen. To everyone's distress.
I don't know. Can we reconsider this whole social media thing? I love the internet, it's a wealth of information, but these social media worms just aren't cutting it. Can they go back in the can?

(Also I just read an article about them that included an update as I think a response to the backlash? The article is hear in case anyone wants to read it but be warned: it includes some major emotionally abusive controlling language in the last paragraph, from the women themselves. I just. Wow. Holy damn. I don't have any of those particular triggers and it puts ME on edge.)
Anyway. Happier things. Like I got to pet Cassius again this morning, a lot. Didn't see Little Bit but Barton showed up, didn't see BatCat either. At this point Barton just hangs out on our front stoop all day, too. On his favorite blue blanket. It's terribly cute. My tarot cards continue to troll the hell out of me but it was a very heartening October spread, reminding me of beginnings and endeavors and keep trying and I can do this. I get paid tomorrow so I made my pen orders. Well, order, but then I decided to get a 12-pack on Amazon too because fuck this losing my favorite type of pen. Yes, I write small, I need a small writing pen to accommodate. And. Things are actually looking up and going decently well. And I have work to do. Time to do it.
