I made the mistake of going to CSS Zen Garden and now suddenly I've got it in my head to completely revamp and redo my web page. Two and a half days before DragonCon. Just in case someone decides to judge me for it. No, I don't understand my brain either. Other than, well, freaked out and afraid of being judged and found wanting and brainweasels, those are always present.

As far as I can tell the Greek Hero thing doesn't actually have a bunch of deadlines, or at least not yet, so I can do that relatively at my leisure. I'm actually almost done with the astronomy course as far as the currently released weeks go, somehow. I finished the first homework because a lot of it was historical science and I did about half the second without looking at the lectures because a lot of it was the physics I've just spent several weeks reviewing. So that's good!

Yes, your mind is moving at a mile a minute trying to distract you into doing something that is not tidying your links and tools page, so you go and eat three rolls of smarties. That'll help. Good job, self.

See, what I'm doing is it's suddenly caught up with the rest of me that I'm going to present myself to authors, to fans, etc, as a competent professional. Whether in panels or by going up to an author and saying hey I like your book (do not ask me what going up to an author and saying hey I like your book has to do with competence or professionalism, literally the only thing required for either of those things is not to cling or invade personal space or draw weapons or something like that), apparently suddenly I have to be a dignified respectable person and PANIC PANIC BATTLE STATIONS TO ARMS TO ARMS. You'll be fine, self. Calm down and do your coding.

1. White Lightning supp document (history of or magazine article)
2. Helix (5 minutes)
3. Tailor blue shirt, side seams and possibly shoulder darts.
4. Cut out pieces for composition book cover.
5. Polish boots one more time and maybe shine
6. Finish copying over Black Ice timeline to Aeon (don't forget to export to HTML) (date Shelley Act, Sellers vs Michiuki, MacLeod) (you can type this up in the doc before you enter it on Aeon Timeline you know) (books are green, events are blue, people are red)
7. PACK ZEROES AFTER YOU READ IT. face it, you're not going to read it, read it on the bus.
8. Clean up 'tools' page
9. Clean up 'links' page
10. Look through published docs for Hellhound war so you have half an idea what the hell you already wrote and can put it in the timeline.
11. Catch up on EdX so you're not scrambling after DragonCon (Astronomy and Greek Hero)
12. Measure, cut off jeans.
13. Dye jeans.
14. Hem jeans.
15. Do Black Ice copy in the sidebar on the works page
16. Fix the fucking sidebar in the index page.

It has to do with professionalism because when you go to tell an author that you like their book, if they have time, they'll talk to you, and then you'll talk, and you know magic does happen when you let you thoughts be spoken out loud. So you need to feel competent and professional and confident. Because it's more fun.

/floops over here, home from work at midnight on... supposedly my first day off. Dun' care.

W00t! Maybe we can get fruit locally? Trade-off between sellers who you can trust and carrying things over the bus.

But.

But.

I am, as you might guess/remember, VERY HAPPY AT THE THOUGHT OF BAGELS.
