kittydesadeWell, the wolf pack seems to have descended into the weasel brigade. I am so, so fed up with this particular pack of weasels I cannot even tell you. I think they've multiplied, even. Though in this case multiplying means they've conserved mass so at least they're somewhat smaller. I just. So sick of these weasels. So sick of them. I would like them to go away now, please and thank you. Unfortunately weasels are insidious fuckers who don't work that way.
But on the plus side even after skipping capoeira on Wednesday I went in yesterday morning, I did the thing, I did pretty well, I did not in fact start grapevining when I should have been doing a side step move, I don't know what the name of it is but it is not a grapevine (the dance move, that is). And I got some more homework. And my legs hurt like hell. Definitely need to build more strength from my hips down, like, a lot. And some more core strength as well. In general, and for morebetter capoeira and for morebetter self esteem. Though I'm already kind of at a point I never thought I'd get to.
Still ever so deeply annoyed that the panel mods gave us three weeks' notice. I mean, that's one thing for shows that are still airing but for shows with 23 hours of content or more that some of us would like to review before we go get pulled up as alleged experts on the subject? Three weeks is not enough time to do it at a leisurely pace! Ugh.
On the plus side, the rudiments of my America Chavez costume are done, all that's left is for the paint to dry. I still need to figure out if I'm going to take anyone other than America Chavez and Abby Sciuto, and if so I need to wash those tomorrow morning. And other than that I think I am by and large ready for Dragon*Con? I could always, I suppose, post my panel schedules up somewhere. And at some point tonight I'm going to organize out the rest of my packing, if not do it because I'm still going to need my phone and my wallet and things. I might pack my Kindle and charge cord though. And. I guess that's what I'll do in the last hour before bed, organize the shit out of myself. Augh. DragonCon, I always freak out in the days leading up to it because what have I forgotten zomg. Yeah, I have no idea what other costumes I'm bringing. I need to look at my schedule, see when I have to look like a professional, if I want to look like a professional when I talk to people like authors and such, and if ... I have no idea. Oh, but I should pack that blue Star Trekky dress. Because reasons. And heels and hose to go with.
Argh. Okay, less flailing, more prepping and talking and taking notes while all of this has been going on, and so on.
1. White Lightning supp document (history of or magazine article)
2. Helix (5 minutes)
3. Haven 2x05 (10 minutes)
4. Tailor blue shirt, side seams and possibly shoulder darts.
5.Paint America Chavez shirt.
6.Touch up America Chavez jacket, color patches etc.
7. Cut out pieces for composition book cover.
8. Finish copying over Black Ice timeline to Aeon (don't forget to export to HTML) (date Shelley Act, Sellers vs Michiuki, MacLeod) (you can type this up in the doc before you enter it on Aeon Timeline you know) (books are green, events are blue, people are red)
9. PACK ZEROES AFTER YOU READ IT.
10. Clean up 'tools' page
11. Clean up 'links' page
12. Look through published docs for Hellhound war so you have half an idea what the hell you already wrote and can put it in the timeline.
