kittydesadeHalf awake today. And the boy not being home before I leave is not helping anything. He did call after I got in to work to complain about people not showing up on time, so at least he is not dead in a ditch somewhere, but honestly. Ugh.
Having one of those moments again where I'm looking at everything I have to do in the next three weeks and freaking right the fuck out. Never mind that apparently I can just watch an episode and take all the notes I need to and have that be done in an hour, so it won't take that long especially if I turn over chunks of weekends to it, I have to freak right the fuck out. Ugh. This is not helpful brain. Not at all helpful. Need I remind you that the only reason we're doing the miniboarding is because we are an analytical nitpicky overworking idiot, not because we have to? Stop that.
Ah well. I did get a chunk of Haven done last night, a chunk of Helix so I can present the pilot of that to Neil Napier to sign hopefully, and an episode of Arrow. I would have gotten more done but it was a weeknight. I can't get quite as much done tomorrow because it'll be a capoeira day and then I'm going to work some overtime for morebetter cashy moneys, but I can probably get the first Flash and then the second couple Arrow/Flashes by Saturday night. Let's aim for that, self, yes? And Haven somewhere in there.
The funny part is, I'm not nearly as worried about White Lightning because inexplicably, editing and working on writings for that is going really well working it at work between things. I'm not sure why, when it was so hard for so many months. I'm afraid to look at it too closely in case it gets difficult again, and god knows I have no idea what I'm going to do with the one story that I'm working on the second version for, not a second draft, a second version. And I might have some major rewrites on the other story that, fuck, I just remembered I needed to finish. So that's two stories to finish and draft and, no, okay, that's it. And then edits, supplemental documents, hopefully only minor edits on the last draft of WL proper, and then go. So, okay, if I have two months after DragonCon and all of this drafted so far, I'm actually not doing as badly as I thought.
It's amazing how much, sometimes, all it takes is taking out the problem and looking at each piece of it and pointing at it and reducing it to logistics and cold hard facts. Of course, sometimes reducing it to cold hard facts makes things even worse. Bank account, I'm looking at you. Not to mention property taxes going up again, though to be fair they only went up by about $35. I can live with that for this year, given that the last couple increases were in the $100-200 range. Maybe once this area stops getting built up they'll stop fucking increasing for a few years. We can hope. (Is that a thing? Does that ever happen? Do longer house-owning people know this? I should call Mom and ask.)
And my credit card balance is down by way more than I just put on it for Dragon*Con VIP aquarium tickets, a good chunk of which I had budgeted out of cash for hotel anyway so that can get paid back as soon as I get home, and things are not, in fact, as bad as they seem. As long as I do keep working. As long as I don't get con crud at D*C, please to Mother and Serpent and all the gods of healing. Lots of water, lots of nutritious food, lots and lots of hand sanitizer.
All right. Enough rambling, I have shit to do, I might as well do it. This rotating to-do list is actually a considerable help when I have ten thousand fiddly things to do and way not enough time to do them leisurely, I should remember that. Also to keep it in bite sized chunks.

4.Make event list for timeline
5. White Lightning supp document (history of, or magazine article, or theatre reivews)
6. Helix (5 minutes)
7. Haven 2x05 (10 minutes)
8. Arrow 3x02 Miniboarding
9.Flash 1x01 Miniboarding
10. Outline some of the other shit
11. And if you really need some writing things that are not WL, drabble some of the magic for either Malachy or Nerd Girls.
12. Tailor blue shirt, side seams and possibly shoulder darts.
13. Finish 'scale of the universe' in Cosmology
14.Double check Shumway making an appearance on Claire's patient history for 2x06 (It doesn't look like he did, or at least if he did we never mentioned it on the blog, the episode to check is 3x02 for her introduction.

17.Calculate points in Khan Academy (remember the due date is the 28th of this month.)
18. Calculate all dates on the arts listings supp document for WL against an actual calendar.
