Well. I made it through the warm-ups all right, and then I ended up sitting down through half the physical part of the lesson, and now I feel like a failure despite the fact that going up and down stairs is difficult. Such are the mental trials we must endure. On the plus side I think I figured out some negativa better, even practicing the upper body positioning while a traceur dudebro interrupted to not so much ask questions about capoeira as to ask about the cool moves. Stefan being Stefan and adorable, he agreed and showed him and invited him to class. Because he's a better person than I am. I stretched and practiced upper arm positioning.

I just wish I could have done more. I feel so ... lame probably is the proper word for it isn't it, since walking can be an issue and my left leg doesn't always hold my weight. But useless and faily is the better word for the overall, never mind that one of the reasons I sat down was because I was literally getting dizzy and going to fall over or off the steps of where we were practicing if I didn't. That's bad, Gir. I have to keep telling myself that. And I can practice, to an extent, at home if I want.

Anyway. Tired. I should have done more today, at least more in terms of writing anything at all ever, but instead there was copious Diablo, Borgias, and watching learning videos. Which is like productivity, and I ate a number of healthy meals including macaroni, olive oil, spices, and cottage cheese, and a tuna and walnut and pepper and so-on sandwich for lunch. We'll see if upping my protein intake does anything for the muscle building that I clearly so desperately need.

It probably won't do anything for my tendency to push myself and then wake up the next morning regretting that I ever took up the damn practice, but I'm not sure anything will. And hey, I tried cottage cheese after 25 years or so of hating it due to personal experience reasons, and I did like it! So I can munch on that for snacks and things.
