So, I'm in the home stretch of Camp Nanowrimo with 20k to go, which puts me at 5k per day. Which is not as terrifying as it sounds at least for me, but does mean I have to push myself some. Which of course means I'm doing everything possible that is not writing before I finally sit down to write. I'm tackling Memrise, I'm reading articles in other languages, I'm finishing my edX course on American Civil War Reconstruction, I'm doing my physics, anything to delay the inevitable crunch. Ah, brains.

I did at least get 2k worth of words done at work, leaving me 3k to go. I also, when I got home, managed to weed the front walk and then dump today's and the weekend's worth of weeds, a whole wheelbarrow full, into the compost pile. I think this weekend I may try to go back to the nursery and get some more fertilizer, manure for the vegetables and more for the end of the porch raised beds, and a bale of straw to layer into the compost heap, and start doing that. Otherwise, gardening is going almost ridiculously smoothly right now. Except for my peat pots. Next year, no more peat pots. Reusing the ones all my other flowers and things have come in.

I ended up with a 100% on my Civil War Reconstruction course, so go me. I'm trying not to be distracted by JavaScript, Physics, Cosmology, or maths courses. At least not until I've gotten the minimum number of words written, then I can allow myself to be distracted by something academic. Don't get me wrong, Nano's great fun and I'm amazed that I might get a full draft of a novel length thing done in a month, but I'm looking forward to writing less, editing and polishing more, and generally studying more and getting more varied things done during a day.

Not to mention the twenty gajillion crafts projects I'm feeling more and more like I should finish some before I start new ones. Heh. Oops.

Okay, putting this here for a brilliant idea that I can execute later tonight or tomorrow morning when I'm not so tired; picking a day, bookmarking a few DeviantArt searches or other art archive searches that have to do with things I've writ. Post on tumblr, or queue throughout the week, with tags and links to said writing. Possibly even have standard text and tags so I can just copy-pasta that and make it all very easy, smooth, and take less time than it takes the weasels to figure out what I'm up to. And now I'm reposting this here on DW so I remember what clever plan I came up with after I've eaten and done the day's words and done my studying and brushed my teeth and it's 11.30 and I'm sleepy and can't remember what I meant to do tomorrow.

Anyway. So, yes. Much to do. But much done today! Weeding and gardening and words written and words in other languages studied and day jobligations done, some things tidied in the morning, and an online course finished to decent effect. I may update to do a victory dance when I've done all the words for day one of the final Nano push. Camp Nano push. Whichever.
