I'd forgotten how quickly I can chew through coding lessons when everything's broken down into small enough portions that I can make little tiny programs or program changes and fuck around in between learning things. As long as there's room built into the coding study (and there usually is) for me to run around slapping Hello World on everything, I can chew through a good book or instructional in maybe a week? Two weeks? It's a bit terrifying. More so in the depth of my dedication and less in the timeframe, coding languages are so so so much easier to learn than programming languages.

It occurs to me that I didn't post my week's words last night. It ended up standing over double at 17,573 and given that I wrote a good 3k this morning, this week's might be over in two days. Not that I entirely expect to keep up this pace but I'm damn glad for it, and it ought to make up for my disastrous first couple of months. Now if only I can do this in the next Camp Nano sessions. For that matter, if only I can keep doing this, because this feels more like my old writing speed.

I still need to do edits on Sandborn, which dropped off in favor of pulling things together for a school today, but then I can kick back and knit and watch West Wing and it will be glorious.

... I think that's really all there is. I haven't got a message from the boy saying his TB tested arm has turned red and fallen off, we had a couple hot days but things seem to be cooling down. My pen order has gone missing, which is aggravating. I ordered some .3 and .38mm tip gel pens in multiple colors from JetPens, and it went missing, and I want those pens to do my physics, dammit! I need many colors to diagram shit. And I've become more enamored than I probably should be of very fine point pens. Think, Uniball Ultra-Micro. Though in that case it's only because the Ultra-Micro tip is easier to write kanji in at the size I prefer to write it. Oh god, I've become that pen geek.

Anyway, tonight is Arabic, so I don't need anything but my calligraphy pen and its lovely pink ink. Okay, two things I have to do, Sandborn and Arabic practice, and there can be knitting and West Wing around that. Mmmm relaxation. She said, in the middle of six or seven online courses.

Look, I never claimed to be normal.
