kittydesadeYou remember how I said I found Diablo and no one is ever going to see me again? I wasn't kidding. I've gotten some research and some coding done in between work tasks at work (yay making HTML 5 do my bidding!) but right now all I want to do is go home and play Diablo. Because it's nice, it's comforting, it's really fucking easy compared to coding a web page and studying physics and writing a novel.
And yet, no. Not so much.
So I guess what I'm going to end up doing is trying to finish edits and some physics in the next 20 minutes, then when I get home all I have to do is dinner, litter, languages, and write. And writing has been coming unbelievably easy these days, I still have no idea why or how the Camp Nanowrimo project is coming this easily, but I'll take it.
And! And I have managed to make HTML 5 comprehensible and functional for me. Which is a pretty big thing considering how long I was refusing to learn any new HTML and finally, no, okay, I will crawl out of last century and learn this new-fangled way of coding. And oh dear god it is so much cleaner and nicer and we loves it good, Precious. I took the Khan Academy HTML course, it was actually surprisingly easy to get through considering I already had basic knowledge of HTML and just needed the changes, but I didn't mind it so much. And next up I think, now that I have access to a coding environment for Javascript, will be dealing with all the rest of their code lessons. Slowly. Painfully slowly, but still.
In between physics and biology and chemistry and US History and every other freaking thing.
The other good success I had today was in getting some notes taken and figuring out what supernatural creatures the girls are encountering in my Nanonovel. So, hopefully, I can just keep on chugging with that tonight, maybe into the weekend. I do need to plunk down a couple bucks on some research books. But hopefully! This is such a nice change from yesterday, the day of infinite small frustrations.
I'm still going to spend time on Diablo.
