kittydesadeIt's amazing what a difference getting a good night's sleep makes. I tell you what, a world of difference. Even though my mind's been at least as scattered today, somewhat, as far as focusing on writing goes, now that the time-sensitive stuff is done and I can sit down and focus on writing I might actually be able to do some. I might even do some physics even though it's not the day for it! SHOCK. Amaze.
Inexplicably my heating bill is also not as high from that fucking coldass February as I expected it to be, which means I get to save a bit more this month than I expected, be a little less close to the wire this month than I expected, and get that Arabic writing book that's a more in-depth and probably ultimately more useful book than the one I have. Then again, the one I have was only ever meant to be a studying-on-the-weekends stopgap anyway, so. Still. I am pleased. Overall with the state of things, there's enough small victories and enough lack of big punches to the psyche that I'm doing better. Still a little too jittery for hope. But doing better.
I even have, actually, managed to get my 1k words for the day done before I left work! In two different projects, both of which have way too long been on my list of things to get done. So, let's see if I can get these done this month. I've also pulled together a few sources for this epistolary nonsense, if I'm going to insist on writing it. Which it seems like I am, ugh. Extra bonus points because the tone from that is leaking into the tone for the other story, and both of them are going to leak into the demon hunters story, and I'm supposed to be working on oh dear god.
I can't stop to think about what I'm supposed to be working on now, I will go completely and utterly batshit insane.
Right. So my tasks for this evening are to figure out Alex's story, figure out the tones for custody battle story and whether or not I want to keep doing it in that high-toned moralistic thing as the epistolary is written, or if I want to go for something different. Then I write some in the demon hunters story, then I start working on Alex's story maybe. And if I'm very good and do all of that, I may have a cookie. Or something. I want a patron. Where's my patron.
(No, I do not want to use Patreon, I do not trust those fuckers.)
ETA: And do another scene in Sandborn. When the hell did I start juggling five to ten projects again. Argh, self. Argh. At least... two? Three? of these are short.
