Jan. 28th, 2015 07:44 pmOkay, the first goddamn thing I am going to buy when I get my next paycheck is some colored inks. I know I'm only supposed to be practicing my Arabic and Hindi right now, but I want to do all the fucking calligraphy. And I want to do it in pink. And blue. And green. And purple. I want to write "I am a blood rider of the khalesaar" in bright screaming pink on a huge sheet of paper. I feel this will be at least an inexpensive indulgence I can make, right? Of course right.
lireavue was being evil in my general direction again today. Not intentionally this time, but she reblogged a thing and instantly I had a giant fucking plotbunny and now I have a title, a playlist of sorts (artists not tracks), a few opening paragraphs, and half an idea of what's going on. I did not need this on top of everything else! At this point I just hope the enthusiasm and momentum I've built up on that lasts long enough for me to get maybe half to a third of the way into the text and all the way through plotting. Then I think I can push the boulder the rest of the way.
Anyway. I got through the first notes on that, got through another scene in Sandborn, got about two lines into the other story I'm working on before I got distracted by embroidery floss and started taking out all my bracelets and warp chains and organizing them. Again. I really need a better way of keeping individual skeins of embroidery floss organized that doesn't, preferably, involve unwinding them and rewinding them around cardboard. It's probably just going to be winding them around cardboard though. (In which case I need to get the individual cardboard thingies ugh.) And then if I go through a phase of making, say, 6-8 Ravenclaw bracelets, keeping all those in a separate plastic baggie.
So. This also might lead to friendship bracelet kits, which would be really funny. Not entirely sure how to manage that, but kits. Especially since I've started writing down color numbers so I can duplicate bracelets.
Anyway. Even despite that I did at least manage to get most of the day's work done, so at least I don't feel too guilty about neglecting writing for all the friendship bracelets. Not much guilty anyway.
No Wednesday reads this week. I didn't actually finish or change much the books I'm reading. Post to be updated with Word Count after I finish writing, and I'm still working on reinstating my workout routines. Although there's a couple more yoga and dance routines I'm thinking of throwing in. We'll see how much I can jam in there if I get more efficient about everything.
ETA: The weekly word count is 4,266
Which makes Week 1 - 2,488, Week 2 - 3,511, Week 3 - 3,966, Week 4 - 4266. So, I've actually been slowly but steadily creeping up in my word count. Feel free to smack me, peeps, if I forget that. Because I know I will.
