Aug. 1st, 2014 10:33 amThree prefixes
These prefixes can be added to verbal adjectives to create new compound adjectives: so- 'easily done', do- 'impossible (or very difficult) to do', and in- 'possible'. Each lenites the first consonant, where possible. A hyphen separates two vowels or identical consonants.
Tá sé dodhéanta. It's impossible.
Tá sé indéanta. It's doable/feasible.
Tá sé sodhéanta. It's easy to do.
The meanings given by so and in are often quite similar. Something easily done may translate as 'doable'. In some cases, however, meanings are distinct: sothuighte, understandable, but intuigthe, implied.

I hate double pointed needles so hard. I mean, I'm making a really nice looking thumb on my gloves. (THUMBS. I HAVE THUMBS. SHOW ME YOUR FUCKING THUMBS.) But I hate double points so hard.
So, okay, yesterday wasn't nearly as productive with the housework as I hoped. Mostly because I went home, sat down on the couch, only got up for food and to complete chores when nature wouldn't oblige me by watering my garden for me, and then sat down again and didn't move till I crawled up to bed. An hour and a half early, so I got shittons of sleep, especially since I didn't crawl out of bed till an hour later.
HAH I HAVE FINISHED THE THUMB. I AM MIGHTY.
Ahem.
So, another thing that occurs to me is that this could be some form of something poisoning from eating shittons of tuna this week. But I'm out of tuna now, so that'll clarify itself pretty quickly. Also I've eaten tuna like that before and nothing has happened. Did something terrible happen to the tuna that I missed? Am I eating radioactive tuna?
(I'm still hyper from the thumb, shut up.)
Next up... well, next up, actually, this weekend is leather sewing the sheath for Reason. And spraypainting Reason if the weather ever stops being murky. But after that, and after I get the two... three. Gloves I want to knit, knit. Um. No, after that I have no idea. I do need to get the goddamn lap robe squares onto needles again, if nothing else so I can finish the fucker. First, though, I have to figure out how many squares I have. And at some point in all of this I need to make fingerless gloves for the boy, because he likes them in the winter. Out of Superwash, because he has no fucking clue how to launder wool. I love him to death, but he has so far shrunk at least one pair of fingerless gloves, two ALPACA SCARVES (apparently he ran to H for help and she told him I was going to murder him), and ... something else. I think another scarf that was a test scarf so I didn't mind so much.
And. AND. I somehow am managing to do this while keeping up with edX, while studying HS bio, while writing, and while keeping up with my other obligations. Mostly. HOW LONG CAN THIS LAST, I HEAR YOU CRY. Well, probably not fucking long, but I'm amused and enjoying it while it does.
