It's cold and snowy here, as it is cold and snowy everywhere else in the US, or at least cold. Except maybe Hawaii. I bet Hawaii's doing all right for now. And I'm still going to work because work is ten minutes drive away and nobody else who usually starts in the morning is going to be there. At this point I'm also preparing to be in front for some portion of the day, because our usual Monday-Tuesday front desk person is snowed/iced in. Mostly iced, I'd expect.
And then I looked at the radar. Um. Shit.
So, apparently in addition to the things I have weirdly and inadvertently perpetrated upon myself, I ended up chatting about the blog and critique of television with one of the admins on Whedonesque the other day. Ulp. We'll call it good practice for when we start tackling Sleepy Hollow and/if Orlando Jones picks us up and points us out? Because yeah. That'll be sort of terrifying, and by sort of I mean oh holy hell bring on the bunkers.
Not sure what I'm going to be able to get done today, but the goal is to get some of White Lightning drafted and then hit up Sandborn edits. Maybe draft out these two blog posts that I came up with, which, heh. I need to stop coming up with blog posts in lieu of all the other shit I should be doing. Dinner, etc, more writing, I will probably start grabbing sections of leather and stitching them together today because while I'm still nervous about the snaps, I really need to stop finding excuses not to put this shit together. I can still make buckles and straps for the pockets, velcro, etc. Okay, no, no stitching today, but definitely getting them together and putting them in my bag for later in the week. It's that time.
It's also time to find something to set on fire, but that's just because it's fucking cold outside. The sad thing is, if this was a normal winter I probably shouldn't mind so much, but we're (my generation and younger) not used to this. Ugh.
