Well. There was supposed to have been a more thorough cleaning of the house this weekend, but Dennis Lehane novels happened instead and all I got done was a basic picking up and sweeping and caulking the tub. Oops. On the other hand I did get three bags of fertilizer for starting seeds. Hopefully that'll work out. Hopefully the cats won't eat them.

Dennis Lehane novels. Why didn't I read them before? I have no idea but I've devoured almost to over half of the Kenzie/Gennaro books. Bubba is my favorite. Because of course the psychopath is my favorite, it's always the way. Of course now, as is also always the way, I want to write more of detective novels and less of what I should be writing. Which is a bit depressing. Along with the fact that inquiries are coming in about other works I meant to get done, really haven't, and now I'm panicking about the fact that I'm not nearly as far along in them as I want to be and HALP. I realize the last two months have been hellish, but Halp nonetheless.

You know that bit (or maybe you don't) in DaVinci's Demons where DaVinci is arguing with everyone about what projects he's supposed to be working on, and THESE are the projects his patron has commissioned so he should be working on those except THOSE are the projects his muse has dictated he should be working on? That's a bit how I feel right now. If I were doing this full time it wouldn't be nearly such a hassle, but if I were doing this full time I wouldn't actually be making any damn money off of it right now, so shut up and soldier, soldier.

No, okay. I've taken my deep breaths, I know how to work this and what to do, and that I have to do it. It's just even more nervewracking knowing that someone is curious about it and asked to see it. It's like suddenly it's not happening in a vacuum anymore, you're being watched and it has to be good rather than just for you. Nervous.

All right, then. In the interests of getting stuff done and not panicking anymore, let's get some stuff done.
