I think that might be the first night I've slept seven plus hours of unbroken sleep all week. (I did go to bed early a couple other nights this week, but the waking up in the middle of the night didn't help.) (The nap after getting home from jury duty did.) Sleep really is amazing stuff. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Granted, now I'm awake and thinking of a thousand and one things I want to do in the house before I go to work, and as a result there's a lot of "Do I have to go to work today can't I just stay home and clean/fix things/sew curtains." No, self, you do not get paid to stay home and sew curtains, you get paid to go to work and do work. Besides, we've got a fun supplier coming in today, that'll be nice, won't it? Dear god, I've turned into BBCMrs. Hudson. Which is in turn reminding me that I got Molly bloody Hooper on the Which Sherlock Character Are You test. While I appreciate that I probably do have the patience to train Sherlock in how to behave like a damn human being every now and again, it wouldn't be with Molly's hurt/disapproving glances or quiet words. It would be with a stick.

I still haven't caught up on that show, either. I mean, I enjoy it when I watch it, but I can't bring myself to put forth the effort to do the BBC streaming thing or anything. At some point, I guess.

(Semi-relatedly, why is everyone so shocked that Martin Freeman is kind of an ill-tempered twit who doesn't choose his words with any care at all? I mean, I like his presence in everything I've seen, I do think some of his foul temper is a reaction to the more extreme fans, but I've never been under the impression that he was nice. Or absent of what we would consider bad prejudices. Then again, I can't remember where I got the impression that he was kind of a dick, so maybe I just saw or heard something somewhere that was really obscure.)

Anyway.

Still have no major craft projects to do today at work, so it's another chapter of The White Goddess and filing things and maybe getting some of those edits noted down in the story thing. Diving back into the realm of an old RP character, trying to get a whole page in on Russian. Come home, pick up, write, watch Grimm. Flail. Type up at least some of it, I hope, before I have to pack up and naff off tomorrow to Dave and Busters. Assuming that's even happening. I don't consider that a safe assumption at all, but at this rate I could probably use booze and skeeball. Well, given that the boy apparently got injured (wrenched his back) at work and is going to urgent care later this morning, no Dave and Busters this weekend! So never mind that. In a way I'm glad. But I also could have used booze and skee ball. Maybe it'll just be booze at home then.
