With a bit of a push I managed to get all the way to the top of page 21, first full paragraph! So there's that. It's sort of leveled out at a pace of not too easy, but not so hard that it gets frustrating, but the really frustrating thing is I'm not picking up vocabulary nearly as fast as I want to be. I mean, it's not like I'm getting much in the way of repeated words yet, and I've only read less than twenty fucking pages. I think I'm probably expecting more of myself than I should be. And yet.
Well, and since when was this a new thing? Honestly.
I did not get nearly as many words written in Nano as I wanted to. I did, at least, get words written. I think the order of operations for tonight is go home, make food, cut up chicken and make those go into the freezer, then Person of Interest till bedtime interspersed with writing Nano. (ETA: Well, the first two parts are done, now, since I ended up going home before I hit post.) I need to refresh my memory on that ginger chicken recipe, this one doesn't taste right. Tasty! But not quite right.
I've also hit the point in Nanowrimo where my outline is left of center of where I'm actually writing, so half the scenes need to be rewritten for one reason or another. This is both entertaining and frustrating in a weird way, but at least it's coming along more smoothly than it might otherwise be. I can also just about tell what scenes I'll have to rewrite when it gets around to edit times. Usually they're either the scenes I struggle most with or the scenes that I'm only writing so I can get them out of the way because they don't really fit anymore.
So. Okay, I have food, time to get to blogging. German has indeed been done, but only about half a page this time. Need to speed up on that.
