So, Halloween happened. We got a good three or four dozen kids it seemed like, I stopped keeping track after a while but we got rid of around half the candy. Maybe over half? Irritatingly, several types of candy leaving us with a couple bags of other types of candy, so, grump. I like a diversity of leftover candy! Next year I prep the buckets. Other than that, though, our rather slapdash Halloween decorations worked out, next year we get some goddamn LED candles for our pumpkins so they don't keep blowing out in the wind, and now it's time to pack it all up for November and then maybe hang Christmas lights towards the end there.

I threw the tarot cards last night! For the first time in a while. They chewed my ass off, like they do when I haven't used them in a while. I asked a couple of questions, rephrased and asked again and got pretty well smacked in the face with "STOP ASKING." But on the plus side the framework for the year ahead looked solid. It's not that Tarot cards tell the future, but they can help you reframe your present to predict the future from there. Not in the psychic way, more like in the I haven't had a healthy meal in three days and I'm exerting myself in the freezing rain therefore I will totally get sick way.

I did also get told to stop being a control freak and get out of my way. A lot. So I guess there's that.

Today! Nano begins! Getting my 1667 words in on White Lightning, then I should pick a secondary project to work on, plus dime novels. Or maybe my secondary project should just be Sandborn for November and December. Decisions. Either way, hopefully it'll be relatively quiet today so I can get some writing done! Hopefully I have the focus to get writing done.
