Okay, let's try this whole working a full day at work thing again. Breathing is easier, although I have an inexplicable headache that seems to have nothing to do with a fever. Deeply annoying. If I work today, though, get everything out the door, maybe I can leave a couple hours early. And/or take tomorrow off. One of these two things would be good.

Gods and Monsters is almost entirely off my plate, thank god, and I need to hustle my butt on Nerd Girls. I think the beginning is coming on so slowly because I'm a little afraid to write this story, afraid of fucking it up, or of it being too much or something. I think I just want it to be something less heavy, and I don't know how to make it be that. Argh. This is not the problem I wanted to run into in the month when I'm supposed to be writing this. And I don't know if I want someone to talk me out of my tree as far as writing it goes, or if I just need to be smacked in the head with "go ahead and write the fucker."

I think maybe what I need to do is go ahead and write the goddamn first draft, then send it out to people and see if whatever it turned into between outline and first draft (because really) is something that I want to/that should be put out there.

Other than that and blogwork, ugh. I might actually, at this rate, try to get Sandborn out on time this year. Though I've forgotten everything else I meant to do other than draft White Lightning in November. No, actually, given the givens, that seems less than stellar. Maybe just try and get a second draft of Sandborn with missing scenes done by the end of the year, that seems like a better plan. And then get line edits done ASAP. This is all looking remarkably relaxed. At least as compared to other shit I've been doing. The hell is happening to me?
