Серена смотрела через её стакан искаженый вид на её маникюрый газон. Кирилл говорил иронично, она думала, когда он применял притяжательное. Много время работа других людей строли это сад, олицетворение ландшафт дворца. Она только выбрала цвет и жвертвовала деньги. И всё будет исчезать зимой.
-- Спасибо. Я платила много искусным работникам для его. -Она сказала с ублыком.
Он улыбался взамен, но это было солнце за облакой и совсем не было утешение которое она надеялась.
-- Ты не [go back find this word] меня, потому что ты был в соседство, да?
-- Нет.
Кирилл тянул близкий стул и садился. -- Хочу дискутровать Люси.
Она клала её стакан на стол острожно. -- Что о Люси?
-- Ты знаешь... что, нас натуры... проялвляются. -Он гримасничал, бранился на несколько языках, что она не понимала. Она только знала, что он бранился, потому что эти были несколько его любимые ругательства. --Что ты помнишь о начале, когда ты соображала ты была особая?
Серена откинулась на стул, обиженная и устала. -- Почему ты спросишь мне это? Сейчас? После такого вступления? Ты знаешь какие мы были тогда.
-- Я говорю это всерьёз, Серена. Пожалуйста.
Облака ползёли по солнцу, но она не думала любой из их продвинулися подчинять погоду на своей воле. Всё равно, было соответствующий и своевременный дрожь по их спине.
-- Я была... шестнадцать? Семнадцать? Встречала с этим мальчиком. Были в его доме и просматривали наши университета документы. Его отец проявлял интерес к моему выбору.
Ей не доставляло удовольствие говорить об этах сутах. Не был очень ужасающий или скандальный или новый, не очень позорный насчёт что она делала. Но она была очень слишком молодая и боялся, и она была счастлива, что она переносила.
Кирилл не подталкивал, а взял её за руки.
-- И он сделал тебе предложение.
Серена кивала, сделала глубокий вздох. -- Он сделал мне предложение. Было более деньги, чем я могла зарабатывать иначе. И было высшее образование, и он не был дурной человек. Только немного самотный. И тоже я думала было мудрость в идее. Возможность.
Она выпрямлялась, тащила её руки из его. -- Почему ты спросишь мне это? Есть кто-то...?
-- Нет! Кирилл покачал головой. -- Нет, не это. Ты была шестнадцать или семнадцать, да? А я был двадцать.
-- Ты был в университете... Она вспоминала. Его первый год, тоже. Конечно это беспокоило его. Она знала, сейчас, потому что он не говорил об этих сутках, никогда. Не с её больше. Она думала, что он бы рассказал Уилл по крайней мере один раз.
-- И Люси... Есть ничто. Если она не говорила с тобой об этом.
[??? argh skipping that one because apparently I can't find a verb for 'to return']. Стеснённость ползал вниз её горле и походий на глиста сворачивался в её желудке. -- Она не сказала ничто мне, и не знаю, почему она не бы хочу. Она знает, что Стивен и я есть, что ты есть. Мы вырастили она с познаием об отпрысках (?). Об нас и что мы терпим. (This. Entire. Paragraph. Argh.)
It's amazing how much of a difference getting a fucking decent night's sleep makes. I feel much better right now, I feel awake and not yet drained of all life and energy. I feel vaguely positive about the day! And the pile of mistakes I apparently made yesterday oops. Watch your damn correspondences, Jag. And I still need to make with the reading.
And I have no idea what happened but suddenly my brain took a hard right turn for the only focus on one data stream at a time. Probably the throwing up of hands from the Editrix, I was doing fine until the caterpillar tripped and went face first into the dirt! Which just goes to show you that "fine" is not only a relative term, it's a fucking deceptive one. And that said, thank god for coping mechanisms and training oneself to use one's words even though one may feel like crap, in any of half a dozen ways. So, okay, pulling back together with the ability to parse multiple data streams at once.
In completely other news, I need sources of funky colored lipstick. There are so many sources for funky colored nail polish, but I want to do things to my lips too! Non-permanent things. I'd do things to my eyes except I rub my eyes too much for that. Also I want to get my eyebrows sculpted or some shit before I start experimenting with the eyeshadow. What. Whaaaaat. Yeah, I don't know either, this is a change of pace for me, but I'm having fun fucking around with putting funky colors on me. Which actually goes with my tendency to: "It's boring/gloomy/sad/gray out? THROW COLORS AT EVERYTHING." Yarn! Dye! Fabric! Paint! Colors colors colors!
So, yes. Internets! Show me your colored lipstick links.
And then, you know, Mere Smith got De Colores stuck in my head. Which, I guess there are worse things to get stuck in one's head? But I only remember half the goddamn lyrics. Also it's a serious sign of how punchy I am that I went over to that on barely a suggestion.
Anyway. Okay, so, for the rest of today we have banging on the budget, which usually happens Sunday but this weekend has screwed me for mental scheduling. Writing, checking in and tagging that one Murderboarding comment before we acquire a backlog of them again. Then home, weeding, doing the Gods and Monsters edits and not being afraid of them, self, if you use your fear as to procrastinate till the very very last minute I will punch you in the side of the neck. Somehow. And then Person of Interest till bedtime. I list all of this out here because the way my brain is going right now, it will all dribble out my ears before I get more than two items down on my list of things to do. I only look like I have my shit together. I promise. Duck paddling. Anna's going to write a post on it later, I think.

почему она не бы хочу -> почему она бы не хотела (The verb should be coordinated with она; the past tense is corresponding to 'would'.)
Она знает, что Стивен и я есть, что ты есть. -> probably better without the explicit verbs.
Мы вырастили она с познаием об отпрысках. Мы воспитали её OR Она выросла с познанием о потомках. I'm not 1000% sure, but I think that is the more understandable... *looks up* The word you used is, nowadays, used mostly ironically. Like, 'disappointing offspring of a great family' or something of the sort. Almost derogatory. BUT if you choose that word, it might work, throughout the story. (The first part of the sentence does need revising.)
Об нас и что мы терпим. O нас - об is only used when the next word begins with a vowel, I think mostly o.
THIS PARAGRAPH IS HARD. Partly because it is emotional and she's not speaking in entire sentences, or, rather, she IS, but they are not saying what she means. And that is always, always a hell to translate.
Also, 'to return' - вернуться/ возвращаться and the corresponding non-reflexive verbs.
Also, focusing on one data stream at a time IS ALSO SOMETHING YOU CAN DO and it's okay!

At least I think that's that middle mistake with the complicated sentence of doom. Aaaand. .... huh. THat's a semantic thing I'm going to have to discuss at more length I think, or maybe tomorrow's Russian will be surfing for a proper term. Because if that's the usage, maybe that could be used for the bloodlines that are considered "lesser" or tainted or somehow ... um. That word that means unspeakable caste. That'd be an interesting nuance to put into the Russian, anyway. I don't think English has quite that nuance.
IT IS HARD. I HATE LANGUAGES WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF. ;)

Crazy Lipstick
Date: 2013-06-01 05:51 am (UTC)Amphigory.com used to have a CRAZY emerald green that isn't available on their page any more, but according to their FAQ they can still make up a batch for you if you order two. I think they also used to have a deep blue and some other crazy colors.
Fyrinnae.com has "lip lustres" that are more color than a gloss but in a liquid/gloss tube format.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics have a thing called "Lip Tars", and I'm pretty sure there are a blue and green in there. They are a little expensive, but you need a TINY amount to cover your whole lips, and you can mix them - they come in lots of primaries for that reason.
I haven't tried them at all, but MorganasCrypt.com looks like a good source for weird colors, similar to the old Amphigory ones.
Thus concludes all I know about odd lipstick... well, not QUITE. If you want NEONS rather than goth shades? Maybelline has a collection called Vivids that is straight up neon, and Milani has a few that are similar. Because sometimes you need highlighter lips.
There's a girl that calls herself Doe Deere/Lime Crime that has crazy colors, including a green VERY similar to that Amphigory one. HOWEVER, she is extremely sketchy for various reasons that a Google search will pull up, and I only mention her here because she's easy to come across if you google for unusual lipstick and such. Full disclosure: I used to follow her on LJ years and years ago, and I don't defriend lightly, but she revealed herself to be sketchy way back then, too.
